Chitterling was over done and tough
Pork belly meat was tough
There's no half egg
Large Intestines had very nice sweet fats, but it gets overpowered by chili so have it by itself
Taupok had a lot of bite
Fishcake was damn pedestrian
Pig tongue was delicious, it's very meaty and there's an underlying sweetness from the sauce

Kway soup was mild, more savoury than sweet, and the garlic oil helped amp up the flavours
Kway itself was okay, there's abit too much bite

Chili was very strong

Overall pretty decent, but dont bother travelling to this ulu place for this. If you stay in amk its worth a try

The popular kway chap stall in Ang Mo Kio has recently expanded their business with a few outlets across Singapore.

I haven’t get to try it so decided to make my way to their original stall here.

For an individual set like this, I would say it is still affordable and generous on the portion; although the price has been increased along the way.

I really enjoy the soup which tasted much on the sweet side, the same goes to the meat as well but not too overwhelming. You would still get some herb hint from it as well.

4.25⭐ Bought WB to one of the best Kway Chap in SG. Queued at least 15-20min and there's a chit sheet to tick the items which I wanted. I ordered ala carte instead of the set which came up to be more pricy but at least I eat what I prefer. Ordered the pig chitterlings, large intestine head, braised pork belly, braised egg, pig skin and pig tongue. WB like the pig organ soup so I ordered a bowl for sharing. Last had the kway chap at least 5yrs ago and the standard remains. Nothing to shout about the pig organ soup, if not for WB, I wouldn't order.

Love every in this plate @laosankwaychap Tender pork belly, clean intestine, tau pok soak with flavourful braising gravy, fish cake, braised egg, and the kway is served with light herbal soup.

Location: Lao San Kway Chap, 232 Ang Mo Kio Ave 3, Singapore 560232

The kway over here is smooth and silky, prepared in a light and soothing flavoured broth that gives a delightful chewing experience. The braised sauce here has a perfect balance between sweet, salty and savoury. The innards are well cleaned and excellent without any awful stench. My favourite has to be the pork intestine that was velvety soft, chewy and soaked with their fragrant braised sauce.

Large intestine, pig skin, braised pork belly, braised egg, tau pok, fish cake for 2 pax with 1 plate of salted vegetables, 1 big and 1 small bowl of kway 》$12.40

Feature 4 pax of set.
Comes with rice or kway, and they separate the kway with the broth so it will not become soggy.
