The messiest, ugliest food I ever had.
It looks unappetising to be honest, but the roasted meat was quite shiok, especially the char siew and roasted duck. The sio bak can skip, nothing really good about it.
The roasted duck skin was crispy and fatty, the char siew also very crunchy on its charred parts and has a very good fat to meat ratio.
The char siew was ok, siobak was crispy, and duck was passably flavourful(skin got no crisp)
I think standards have fallen because my brother was commenting how this stall has no queue, and a table beside was talking about how their sauce has changed or sth, as well as being charged 30bucks for one big plate(they said no wonder now no queue)
I found it slightly above average overall but definitely won't return, the raved sauce was slightly sour and didn't rlly impress me
A buddy ordered this to share, at my encouragement. I've raved about the sauce before. So shiok.
This roast stall totally flips the tables. Look at its signature gravy. It's not only shiok, by doing this, the quality of the meats is no longer priority. So although both cuts were quite good, I didn't nitpick, I enjoyed the entire dish as a whole.
The gravy is really generous and flavourful, makes eating the whole pack a pleasure.
Roasted Pork Belly & Char Siew Rice with egg ($4.60) with free soup. I really like thick gravy for roasted char siew rice which char siew rice quite sweet and tasting whereas Roasted Pork Belly is quite crunchy and juicy.
