This caramelized buttery goodness tasted heavenly. It’s very flaky on the inside and best to go with a cuppa tea or coffee. I find it a little too sweet but it was very irresistible indeed! 🤤

🥐 Toffee Danish | $2.50
📍 Lavender Bakery at Jewel Changi

Soufflé cheesecake (~$1.40 sgd)... so... amazing....... I wish I had more stomach space to eat all of them... 🍰🧀 Moist and soft on the outside and creamy melt-in-your mouth texture on the inside, this surprisingly didn’t get too jelak and I ate one myself👅

Buns were pretty disappointing :-( From right to left: Japanese bolo bun, Matcha Azuki, Orange chocolate 🍞🥐 Bolo bun: wasn’t buttery enough and tasted dry, Matcha Azuki: only had matcha taste when I ate the bun alone, but with azuki I couldn’t taste the matcha! Although the azuki tasted legit, not too sweet nor ‘powdery’ like some azukis. 🍵 Orange chocolate was a HUGE miss; too dry and the combination didn’t work properly.

Got the Custard Danish Roll (~$1.60 sgd) which was soooo flaky and buttery on the outside, with custard cream of the right consistency on the inside, not too heavy nor oily! Really enjoyed this 😋

Highly recommended the cheesecake ($2.50) and the matcha red bean mochi bun ($1.70)!

Also bought the coconut bun ($1.90) and egg tart ($1.60)

You won't go mad over them, but they're also not run-of-the-mill chiffon cakes. The best way to describe them is they don't elicit emotions.
