Located on Armenian street, the foods serving at this classic French bistro is super hearty, full bodied and delicious. Their rillettes are outstanding, along with their pates but Come hungry and order the mammoth sized Côte de Boeuf which sees Angus prime beef ribs oven roasted served with beautifully caramelised shallots and garlic confit. It’s not pocket-friendly at $148, but it feeds two hungry people and it’s also outrageously good.

Desserts by Chef @yangchiak. "Citron" dessert made with white chocolate eand yuzu. Marble cake. Coffee tart.

Braised lamb shank. Lamb Merguez pie. Couscous with dried fruits. Wine pairing: France 2016 Merlot

Starter: Crispy frog leg, snail and chicken ravioli served with duck consomme. Wine pairing: "Viongier" white wine.

Canapes. Foie gras terrine with passion fruit jelly. Salmon rillette and baguette. Wine pairing: Alsace muscat

I never ever eeeeever thought one could make red meat taste like the most tender sous vide-like chicken breast but boy Le Bistrot Du Sommelier proved me wrong with this. Stewed with some stock, rosemary sprigs, over a bed of fragrant tasty peas, each slice of lamb was cooked perfectly. Juicy, moist, tender, tearing with the slightest tug of my fork...honestly I’m quite lost for words you have to try it to get what I mean.
