This family-run hidden find in Katong offers a decent range of tasty homemade traditional desserts.
.
Their ginger soup is homely and comforting, having a lovely sweet spice flavour.
.
The glutinous rice ball is a little smaller than usual, but is handmade with a soft chewy medium thickness.
.
Seems they alternate flavours daily, this time only the peanut paste was available. It's sweet nutty in flavour, with a grainy chunky texture. Nice!.

Holding on to our bag of Dona Manis pies (banana pie ftw), we ended up here in this cosy looking space while looking for the exit! Shaved ice, vanilla ice cream, mango cubes, syrup and what tasted like black sugar and coconut cream - it was a great cooling down treat on the hot day. It didn't have that artificial mango kinda taste, not overly sweet but more of a mix of both sweetness and slight sourness. Thought the ice could be a tad more thinly shaved but we definitely prefer this, both in terms of taste and price compared to the other more commercialized brands.

This chendol ($3.50) was simple but the gula melaka was very fragrant and I had enjoyed it. Not the best but it’s a good bowl of chendol indeed πŸ˜‹
