WAITED AN HOUR FOR FOOD. And when the food is served, it’s cold. I think that’s not acceptable at all. You should have checked-in if I’m ok to wait at least 30 mins for food. All the good “paid” reviews. Manager didn’t even apologise or give a good reason why they took an hour. I checked in with the server after 30 mins, and at the 45 mins mark.

Beef & Scorched Rice ($18.90) 🥩🍚
We smelt this dish before we saw it! A hot plate of scorched fried rice beaming with wokhey had landed on our table. ♨️♨️♨️The fried rice was garlicky and went really well with the spicy chili sauce. 🌶 The portion of beef was generous and while it was a tad over cooked (we ordered med rare) it was still tender and a good addition!! 😋😋

Lecoq is a restaurant nestled in the heart of CBD (Far East Square) that draws crowds during lunch! The restaurant is a good place to have a relaxed lunch with your colleagues without breaking the bank. Lecoq’s food is really affordable considering its location and we highly recommend checking them out! Do consider making a reservation as they have limited indoor seating :D

Cold Truffle Somen with Hotate ($14.90) 🍝🧊
The somen absorbed the truffle dressing really well! 🤤🤤Every bit of noodle had some sauce clinging on to it with a pleasant aroma of truffle. The sweetness of the scallops complemented the saltiness of the caviar really well! A well-done rendition of Jap-Western fusion.

Super worth it with burpple beyond!! I usually get the salmon mentai don, which has japanese rice topped with fresh salmon cubes, onsen egg, cucumber and cherry tomatoes, and torched with mentaiko, but decided to try the truffle beef don this time. I enjoyed it a lot as the rice was drizzled in sweet sauce, which complemented the beef slices. The beef portion was not large, but had a nice texture and was delicious.

Fried enoki @ $10++

When the dish came, we thought about the amount of effort the team had to go through to make the enoki in this shape and ensure evrry part of it is dipped well into the batter so that the whole entire thing is nicely and evenly fried.

The taste is great, think they made a good batter and the mayo with chilli flakes dip was great as well. The staff was also kind enough to bring us extra mayo sauce when we requested for it after the first serving was finished and we still had half of the dish left.

This place is great to hang out after work. We also had 1 for 1 sapporo as part of their happy hour promo. They offer 1 for 1 black sapporo @ $11, 1 for 1 white sapporo @ $10 and 1 for 1 yuanyang sapporo @ $10.50. We went with the yuan yang thinking it will be 1 black and 1 white. But alas we were served with 2 identical drinks, each mixed with both black and white sapporo! We felt quite silly, but thoroughly enjoyed the drinks.

Will be back again!

Miso roasted bone marrow @ $10++

The soft jelly texture might not be something for everyone, but good that it comes with the bread to balance out the texture and the roasted miso also lends a great taste to the entire dish.

Super good and juicy too.
Would like to be back to try other dishes.
