I had the char siew and roasted pork rice ($4).
.
I was probably the first customer of the day hence there is no queue at all. My order came with a generous portion of char siew and roasted pork piled on top of white rice drizzled in sweet sauce which is value for money.
.
The char siew certainly looked the part; on the outside, it was beautifully roasted with good char and glaze while on the inside, it had a pinkish glow - a testimony to the process it has gone through in the furnace.
.
The roasted pork skin had good crackling and come with bit of fats.

I finally succeeded at this elusive stall. Although the stall was dirty and the presentation was messy, it's proof good food needs no fanfare. The pork was okay, but for a roast duck sceptic, this was one of the best roast duck I've eaten. It had good bite without being tough like most, it was gamey without being nauseating like most, and it was oily and fatty. Everything was so unassuming yet hinting at the hawker's prowess.

Love this stall in Hong Lim Food Centre as it sells very aromatic and yummy roast. Wanted to have the pork ribs but it was sold out. Still the char siew and siew yoke are just great and for $4 only. Value for money.

Rare chance to be in the area during lunch hour. So, first thing I did was to queue for this. It was only around 12.30pm when I saw that all the duck were sold out! That was unfortunate for me as I wanted to try their Roast Duck. Instead, I decided to give their Roast Pork a go since I was there anyway. I must say the portion was a paltry handful amount, and the crackling wasn’t crisp anymore but was chewy from having been left out for too long after being roasted.

Hope to have better luck with their duck next time!

You can find this decent roasted meat here at Hong Lim Park Hawker Centre. The Char Siew was well marinated and sauce was sweet, so make sure you request for lesser if you don't want.

This stall needs no introduction. It's a very popular roast meat stall at Hong Lim food centre. It's roast meat is definitely to have high cholesterol for. I come here whenever I want a delicious roasted and crispy meat meal. Yummy yummy yummy yum yum yum. Posted by Ah Leong San 2016 March 8
