Bean to bar. What I love about this place is the moment you stepped in, you can smell and tell that they take pride in their creation. The aroma just makes you want to stay. Their beans are carefully chosen that have full flavour and unique characteristics. They have samples for all their bars for you to try. After trying some of it, I’ve managed to decide on Venezuela because it has a strong nutty flavour initially and after that comes a slight sweetness of tropical fruits. The next bar I’ll purchase will be Peru!
The staff there is also helpful in sharing his knowledge about chocolates which amazes me as I love chocolates. Definitely recommend this place if you need good quality chocolates. 10/10

Back to Lemuel for my sea salt chocolate tart .

A little disappointed that the tart was overly salted with sea salt this time round and somehow the chocolate was not as smooth and or intense as I remembered it to be .

Nevertheless still a nice after dinner treat .

A little pricey for the brownie however it was so good. Chocolate was really rich and brownie was soft and not dry. 6.5/10
The chocolate chips cookie was a tad disappointing after eating the brownie. It was too sweet to my liking. 5.5/10

My love for chocolate has deepened....

And so has my understanding.

I never knew what was the difference between artisan handmade chocolates versus the store bought ones.

Now I do ! This beautiful sea salt chocolate tart is decadent with a deep chocolate flavour and not too sweet. All you get is a cocoa heaven 😊

The sea salt complements the chocolate and brings such an interesting taste profile to the tarts.

Take one bite of the tart and one sip of their cocoa tea . .. insanely comforting .

Don’t leave the shop before sampling their handmade chocolates 😊 my favourite has got to be the ones made with Peru cocoa beans. Intensely fruity !

The nicely wrapped chocolate bars make very nice and handy gifts too !

Colleague bought this on the way to work for our afternoon tea! I’m not sure what each flavour is called, but one is topped with hazelnut praline cream and the other with dark chocolate.

Lemuel specialises in chocolates, and it’s evident in their tarts. These tarts are definitely catered for chocolate lovers as even the tart bases are cocoa flavoured! Taste-wise, the chocolate fillings are rich, thick, lusciously creamy, and not sweet. The consistency was just right, easy enough to cut through with a knife even right out of the fridge. As for the tart base, I felt it was too thin to balance the decadent chocolate filling. It was also slightly too brittle and crumbly.

Unfortunately, the hazelnut praline topping tasted sour. We thought it might’ve been made with a sour cream base but it didn’t go with the tart at all, so we reached out the Lemuel on instagram and they replied promptly saying they’d check their tarts! They got back to us offering a free tart for the trouble as the hazelnut tarts might have been stored at sub-optimal conditions leading to the soured cream. At least I’d picked off the hazelnut cream dollops, and kudos to Lemuel for their customer recovery :)

These tarts don’t come cheap, but they’re sure to satisfy a chocolate lover! Definitely wanna try the sea salt tart next!

Rich , decadent but not feeling guilty .. ...

One of the best chocolate tarts I have eaten without having to suffer the cloying sweetness of chocolate .

Using only the finest cocoa beans with no “ fillers” , this is really the best place to have your chocolate fill .

One is never enough ... ....
