The ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐˜€๐˜€๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐˜ ๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐˜‚๐—ฟ๐˜€๐—ฒ was their version of "๐˜๐—ถ๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—บ๐—ถ๐˜€๐˜‚", a deconstructed tiramisu of sorts that had the spongey texture down and was decadently rich.

Whilst nothing astounded, Lerouy's execution was excellent and culminated in the main course of the ๐Ÿฏ ๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐˜‚๐—ฟ๐˜€๐—ฒ ๐—น๐˜‚๐—ป๐—ฐ๐—ต ($46++) โ€” a ๐—ฑ๐˜‚๐—ฐ๐—ธ ๐—ถ๐—ป ๐—ฏ๐—น๐—ฎ๐—ฐ๐—ธ ๐—ฐ๐—ต๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ฟ๐˜† ๐—น๐—ถ๐—พ๐˜‚๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐—ฒ sauce served with dollops of french lentil paste.

The markedly succulent fowl was tender and rounded off by a gentle fattiness. Elegant whispers of gameyness underscored rich flavours, further enhanced through a marriage to a deeply flavoured sauce. Following closely, a kiss of lentil earthiness attenuated the heavier ensemble โ€” a deft finishing touch.

The ๐—™๐—ถ๐—ฟ๐˜€๐˜ ๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐˜‚๐—ฟ๐˜€๐—ฒ was an appetizer which showcased delicate slices of ๐—•๐˜‚๐˜๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ณ๐—ถ๐˜€๐—ต served with wasabi ice cream that gave it a bit of oomph and interesting textural mix. A drizzle of ponzu sauce at the side also contrasted the fish's fresh flavours beautifully.

Sourdough is ubiquitous nowadays with the rise of artisan bakeries all over our island. Maybe you don't have to go to a nice restaurant for good bread anymore, but Lerouy's ๐˜€๐—ผ๐˜‚๐—ฟ๐—ฑ๐—ผ๐˜‚๐—ด๐—ต was still damn good.

Everything good sourdough should have โ€” crunchy crust that concealed a dense and fluffy interior. The magic was in the condiments, everything from beetroot spread to salted butter โ€”it was such a spread (haha). Surprisingly, the unassuming butter was my pick and was absolutely sublime when paired with the bread.

The ๐˜๐—ต๐—ถ๐—ฟ๐—ฑ ๐—ผ๐—ณ ๐—ณ๐—ผ๐˜‚๐—ฟ ๐˜๐—ฎ๐—ฝ๐—ฎ๐˜€ was a spoonful of ๐—–๐—ฎ๐˜‚๐—น๐—ถ๐—ณ๐—ผ๐˜„๐—ฒ๐—ฟ, ๐— ๐—ฎ๐—ฑ๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐˜€ ๐—–๐˜‚๐—ฟ๐—ฟ๐˜† ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐—ฆ๐—ฎ๐—ธ๐˜‚๐—ฟ๐—ฎ ๐—˜๐—ฏ๐—ถ. The strong hit of curry and sakura ebi was intoxicating, but controlled enough to not overpower the palate.

A ๐Ÿฏ ๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐˜‚๐—ฟ๐˜€๐—ฒ ๐—น๐˜‚๐—ป๐—ฐ๐—ต at One-Michelin-Starred Lerouy only carried a price tag of $46++, presented with a glut of four tapas appetisers and petit four to round up the meal โ€” a really good price, Michelin or not.

was a dish similar to kueh pie tee, served with ๐—๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐˜‚๐˜€๐—ฎ๐—น๐—ฒ๐—บ ๐—”๐—ฟ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐—ต๐—ผ๐—ธ๐—ฒ, ๐—œ๐—ธ๐˜‚๐—ฟ๐—ฎ ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐—ฃ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—บ๐—ฒ๐˜€๐—ฎ๐—ป โ€” Just a great mouthful of umami and the ingredients mingled quite nicely with the tart.
