You would find them in a few location and Bugis is one of it. Popular for their variety of congee options on the menu, and their signature item would be this mixed pork congee.

Every bowl of congee here will added with a piece of you tiao on the top.

Their congee is very thick with generous ingredients inside. Love the parts of pork meat inside.

My go-to meal when I am in Bugis. Simple, consistent and filling. Love the popcorn chicken (crispy and tasty). Always prefer to add the raw egg to the congee as well. The Youtiao is served hot and just adds to the flavour of the congee.

The popiah from another stall is another different story.

This stall serves hearty, comforting, home-style congee which has a thick and creamy consistency accompanied by crispy fried dough stick. The congee infused with flavours from the dried scallops is topped with fried shallots, spring onions and (add-on) raw egg. These simple ingredients when given a good mix, deliver a balance of flavour and texture that make me yearn for more.
