The #bakkutteh had a simple clear peppery soup (that the staff quickly refilled) and came with 4 big meat pieces that while tasted ok, was slightly tough. We preferred their new dish braised pork served in claypot style. The sauce was flavorful and the pork was tender. Side dishes like rice ($0.80) & preserved vegetables ($2.50) are more pricey esp the vegetables that were quite small a portion.

Doesn't look nice right BUT this lean meat mee sua (~$6) gives out herbal aroma with hint of pepper.
Tastes very rich but refreshing! Gliding through your palate smoothly.
Unlike those normal pepper soupπŸ˜‚
Peanuts released a nice fragrance and tastes like roasted chestnuts you get from those random bike ζƒ³ε½“εΉ΄ο½ž (Grandfather bought charcoal roasted chestnut from random bike)
As you chew the lean meat, it tears into strands like pork floss
WILL COME BACK!

Not really the best for value, but it's not bad. Soup slightly bland for those who prefer a strong taste. Wouldn't be the first choice for me if I had to choose where to eat.

Had a simple and great dinner at Lian Peng Bak Teh @ IMM with a couple of friends today. Nice peppery soup with generous portion of pork ribs. Duck was really soft and yummy too, must say that this is a pleasant surprise at a Bak Kut Teh restaurant. The salted vegetables are out of this world, and the hae bee hiam was really tasty! A good side dish order to go with the food. Oh, not forgetting the pig trotters, nicely braised and tender! Overall, a heartwarming meal that is value for money! A great find in west!

Overall, it was neither impressive nor satisfying. The soup lacked both pepper and herbs. Also, the blanched lettuce and braised big intestines were overly salty. Considering that we had to order ourselves, get our own condiments and make payment at the counter, there shouldn't have been any service charge.
