Not only did they look cute, I was impressed by how seamless the coconut blended into the drinks!

The 𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐓𝐋𝐄 𝐘𝐄𝐋𝐋𝐎𝐖 𝐅𝐋𝐎𝐖𝐄𝐑 ($𝟔.𝟔𝟎 - 𝐋)🌼 came atop LiHO’s Da Hong Pao Oat Latte. For a bbt chain, they do their coffee well too! 𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐓𝐋𝐄 𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐅𝐋𝐎𝐖𝐄𝐑 ($𝟔.𝟔𝟎 - 𝐋) was richer with the use of dark chocolate milk🍫🍫

Both drinks came in a cup sleeve with a surprise message . Think fortune cookies🥠 but in the form of cup sleeves instead! If you receive the message “喜至福来”, bring your cup sleeve back for a free upsize of this series!!

LiHO TEA has launched its new flower series, featuring two drinks topped with a stenciled flower 🌹

The two drinks are Little Red Flower, containing double chocolate milk, and Little Yellow Flower, containing Da Hong Pao Oat Latte. Both drinks are topped with a delicious coconut macchiato, which has the light aroma of coconut and a nice creamy texture!

If you prefer something richer, go for the Little Red Flower, whereas the Little Yellow Flower is more refreshing and lighter on the tastebuds.

Plus, each drink comes with a cupsleeve. When you get the cupsleeve with the characters 喜至福来, you can bring it back and get a free upsize on this series only!

Strawberry fans where you at? LiHO’s K-Strawberry series is back (till 21 March 2022) with 3 flavours to choose from (L-R):

~K-Strawberry Latte ($7.90)
~K-Strawberry Magic Spirulina ($7.90)
~K-Strawberry Jing Syuan ($7.50)

I like that all 3 drinks come with real sliced Korean strawberries + strawberry purée inside, and my favourite is the K-Strawberry Jing Syuan - It was so refreshing! The light taste and aroma of Jing Syuan tea compliments the freshness of the Seolhyang strawberries really well. The drinks are also poured into adorable strawberry-shaped cups that are made convenient to drink. Do note that the cups are available in limited quantities, so get them before they run out!

Pretty decent for a $4-$5 drink (can’t remember the exact price). White pearls were chewy. But I distinctly remember the one at Suntec City (above Mac Donald’s and beside TEOHENG) was named Liho Cafe, so the menu may have been different somehow? Still prefer MAC cafe’s iced matcha latte but this cheaper alternative is still pretty decent! Plus, they give you a tissue pack for free 🙂

When bubble teas were still part of my diet 😂. Definitely give this a go! Love the fresh Taro puree and Taro balls.

Cheap thrills! $0.90 milk tea from 2-6pm on wkdays.

Cheapest Milk Tea at $0.90 with add-on $0.50 for Pearls which filled in a typical coffee shop plastic drink bag.

Asked for no sugar and less ice. Earl grey flavour is not intense enough and i don’t really like the taste of farmhouse milk. However, it is still ok for the price and to satisfy my tastebud in the absense of gong cha.

Sorry LiHo, i should have try yours first before the big players came over to SG. But alas! I have tried the good ones from overseas and setting a high benchmark for me so this is a disappointment for me. The cheese from LiHo just could not go well with the avocado smoothie. Not too sure is it because of the flavour or the cheese though.

4/5⭐️
Earl grey milk tea with brown sugar pearls, 0% sugar / The brown sugar pearls are really sweet, so pair it with 0% sugar and the drink is good to go. Pearls were warm and chewy too.

LiHO’s Brown Sugar Pearls series, following their success in the Michelin Guide Singapore Street Food Festival 2018, was something a little different from what I had in the bubble tea market lately. For a large cup at S$4.90, I got a warm cup of raw and pure brown sugar-infused pearls that was really chewy, served together with cold fresh milk.

But that’s not all. Other than adding a layer of cheese foam, there was also a generous portion of crushed sweetened peanuts, Oreos and caramelised biscuits. The end product became one drink that had some 古早味 (“traditional”) sweetness with peanut fragrance and crunchy textures. Although it might be a bit too much effort on the sensory part, I thought that as a person who liked milk, sugar and lots of peanuts and cookies, this drink was not at all an overkill.

The best part was that I was told that some new flavours will also be launched subsequently in a few weeks ahead, so I’m looking forward to share how much I like (or dislike) them.

I've had a couple of their other flavours before, and was never impressed till I tried this.
They didn't ask for my preferred sugar level, but this was thankfully, not overly sweet. Never thought mango and cheese would go well together, but this really blew me away! The cheese taste was subtly present, but I think what worked was the pleasant saltiness that complemented the sweet mango. A really refreshing icy treat!

Thanks @lihosg for having me and @burpple for the invitation!😊

As explained in my previous review, LiHO’s new brown sugar pearl series are defaulted at 50% sugar level, an acceptable sweetness for most public I would say...

Not really a fan of Avocado, but this Brown Sugar Pearl Fresh Milk Avocado, I can! Surprised that the combi actually works out fine and there’s even tiny avocado bits adding on to the texture of the drink, non-avocado lover likes this, as an Avocado lover, definitely cannot miss this!

As a fan of matcha, I would love a matcha drink that contains a hint of bitterness from the matcha powder and LiHO just did it! Do not compare this with the famous franchise cafe’s matcha latte even though this Brown Sugar Pearl Fresh Milk Matcha is mainly made up of matcha and milk (and the brown sugar pearl) okay? Understand LiHO actually check out many types of matcha powder and tested out different ratio to arrive at this rich and impactful matcha drink! Kudos!

Similar to that of the matcha drink above, the chocolate drink also gives you a hint of bitterness from the cocoa and it taste like those hot chocolate but in this case, cold one, filled with rich cocoa taste (definitely not like those cheapo chocolate taste), this is yum!

Generally, quite like these three new flavours that LiHO is going to launch some time in June 2018, but as what I have described above, these three flavours carry their own distinct taste, which in fact, kinda overpowered the highlight (i.e. brown sugar pearls)...

Whilst the pearls are still soft and chewy, it doesn’t really make a difference be it brown sugar pearls or just their normal pearls when drink together with the new flavours, and this might be something LiHO wanted to look into in the long run if the selling point is on the brown sugar pearls...

But otherwise, these three flavours are quite on point!

Please see my previous post for my review of the already launched Brown Sugar Pearl Fresh Milk & Party...

Damage: Understand that the price would be similar that of the Brown Sugar Pearl Fresh Milk series (probably range from $3.60 to $5.20)

When it comes to drinking bubble tea, first thing comes to my mind is...sugar level.

Not so much of a health concern, if I want to be healthy, I wouldn’t have drink bubble tea in the first place, it’s just purely my own taste preference, prefer bubble tea without sugar as usually the sweetness from the pearls will bring out hint of sweetness/ taste of the bubble tea itself, so ya, that’s just my personal preference...

And so, I asked the preparer on the sugar level of their new brown sugar pearl milk series. Since it’s brown sugar, I’m afraid it will be super sweet, but I was told that they have taken this into consideration and the brown sugar pearls series drinks are actually defaulted at 50% sugar level. I find it sweet but still quite acceptable for one...

LiHO went a step further as compared to RB Tea I would say...once tried RB Tea’s 青蛙撞奶, something similar to LiHO’s new series, but I prefer LiHO’s as it is less sweet (without reducing the volume of the pearls)...🤣

The pearls are slow cooked with raw and pure brown sugar over a long period of time resulting in a soft, chewy texture with the rich roasted brown sugar fragrance, the pearls, I like! Especially when the pearls are served warm and here’s why...

Similar to 青蛙撞奶, the Brown Sugar Pearl Fresh Milk was served with cold milk on top and warm brown sugar pearls at the bottom, making this drink a little interesting depending on how you drink it:

(1) Poke your straw right in and drink it
(2) Shake it for 8 times

I prefer (1) as I can really feel and taste the warm brown sugar pearls with the cold milk in my mouth altogether and it’s quite an interesting experience my tongue had, and since the pearls are already less sweetened (50%), drinking straight from the straw is rather acceptable!

As for (2), like what you may have already imagined, just cold milk with brown sugar pearls like any other bubble tea, it’s not bad, the overall taste improved in this case as the sweetness from the brown sugar pearls are quite well mixed with the unsweetened milk (sweet pearls and not-sweet milk would not be that distinct). And as for why 8 times, the preparer said they have tried ample of times and 8 times seemed to be the optimal number of times you should shake the drink to get the best blend of the brown sugar pearls and the milk...🤔

As for the Brown Sugar Pearl Fresh Milk Party, it contains:
- peanuts crunch (sweetened like those muah chee’s)
- oreos crunch (sweet)
- caramelised biscuit crunch (lotus biscuit taste, sweet)
- creamy cheese (lightly salted)
- cold milk (not-sweet)
- warm brown sugar pearls (50% sweetness)

The layering can be interesting and instagrammable, but kinda confusing for the taste bud and far too sweet (even with the cheese) for me. I find this drink quite heavy and quite jelak after a few mouthful for the milk, the creamy cheese and the toppings, they are just too much for one...

So, for those who have sweet tooth and likes 口感, 層次感 and 飽足感, probably can go for this...

From these 2 drinks, I prefer the original one (Brown Sugar Pearl Fresh Milk)...
