The weather these days has been crazy hot and we’re just constantly looking for chilled drinks or something icy cold. Found ourselves at the newly renovated Golden Mile Food Centre and we bought a bowl of simple Longan Ice! Was surprised by the generous amount of jelly this came along with at this price tag. Liked that it’s not too sweet and definitely helped so much in cooling us down.

The stall seem to specialise in puddings, from egg puddings to matcha puddings - will definitely be back to try them!

Their Chendol [$2.00] is not only good but extremely worth it! Seldom do we ever see this Low prices anymore, and their portion is generous. Not too sweet and a perfect mix of everything. Will recommend and definitely come again!

Milk Pudding (SGD $2, additional $1 for toppings) - Firm and bouncy pudding texture with a lingering creaminess that goes very well with the accompanying packet of cream. You can choose to top it with Taiwanese toppings like red bean, taro, sweet potato and konjac jelly that gives the pudding a more satisfying bite.

From a stall named Like Pudding Beancurd stall, which sells pudding such as Milk Pudding, Egg Pudding to flavoured ones such as Matcha and Chocolate ones. Made from eggs, milk powder and pudding powder, this simple version is made firmer than laoban, being more panna-cotta like and fragrant of milky aroma. Of the various toppings I love the Taro Balls which were chewy with yam flavour and the Konjac Jelly which was really chewy best. Adding creamer makes the pudding sweeter, but it seemed to add an overwhleming sweetness to the pudding.

Prices are at $2/$2.50 for the classic puddings and $3 for the signature puddings that comes with toppings. This Signature Milk Pudding ($3) comes from a recently opened stall that specializes in Taiwanese pudding desserts! Comes topped with taro, sweet potato, red beans, konjac jelly and grass jelly, it is silky, refreshing and taste even better when you add in the creamer provided!
