Reviews of good food at Lim Kee Cafe (Tian Jing Hotel)

3.5 munchies: Smooth and creamy without the roasty edge, the full-flavoured cup of flat white had a solid body with hints of roasted nuts, chocolate, and floral fragrance. If only I had room for their local-flavoured ice cream or raspberry tiramisu! #Burpproved

Lim Kee Cafe is located on the ground floor of Tian Jing Hotel, a 15-room boutique hotel that has a nostalgic charm and pays homage to the first Chinese settlements.

Lim Kee cafe is located just at the ground floor of Tian Jing (天井)hotel. LimKee cafe is managed by the same team who managing the hotel. Their Flatwhite RM7 is beautiful crafted but I was surprised by their breakfast lounge called Nanyang lounge which serve ‘not-your-usual-continental-breakfast’ RM230(couple) or RM150(single)for a night included the simple and warm local breakfast before explore the KL Chinatown! Don’t miss out their hearty breakfast!

The next time you're in Chinatown, head into the new Tian Jing hotel to find Lim Kee, a privy spot to huddle up with a cuppa in the city. The cafe shares the same traditional-made-contemporary charm as its building, and the old-time aesthetics of wooden chairs on ceramic print tiles are easy to love. The menu is now limited to sweet sustenance: cakes and ice cream for those who want a little treat in between meals. Hot food will be offered much later, perhaps when the hotel too is open for business. For now, cool off the KL heat with a scoop of Ice Cream (RM6). Theirs are aptly flavoured with a local twist, from pandan to teh tarik and soursop. Cakes are also on offer, sometimes a decadent chocolate or a light, spongy raspberry tiramisu. Pro tip: Keep an eye out on their Facebook page to chance upon the occasional daily deals — a free slice cake with every coffee purchase and the likes!
Avg price per person: RM15

A welcoming addition to Jalan Sultan, this beautiful and airy cafe is part of Tian Jing; a new boutique hotel with an old Shanghai vibe. For now, no savoury food yet as the building is still under reno, but there’s a huge range of simple but delicious-looking housemade cakes on offer as well as coffee with beans from Illy. Keep an eye on their Facebook page — you might just find yourself with a too-good-not-to-miss buy cake, free coffee deal!

The Lim Kee cafe will be officially opened tomorrow! So excited to check it out! 🙌🏻 #tianjinghotel #limkeecafe #weekendfun

Burpple Guides, Newly Opened New Restaurants, Cafés And Bars in KL: October 2017 There hasn't been as many new places as we would have liked to eat our way through this month, but the handful of great spots that did pop up make exciting news! Over in Overseas Union Garden, a neighbourhood joint for prawn noodles is warming tummies while a little food shop in Bukit Damansara feeds hungry shoppers and DC Mall adds a ritzy tapas bar to its directory — all these and more in this week's nifty guide.
