Rice is well-cooked to soft with right amount of wetness; with pieces of fresh squid that are firm with soft & crunch bite; topped with fried spiced squid that are crispy with thin & flavorful batter; 1 of the better squid ink risotto I've eaten..

Gnocchi is soft & chewy; tossed in bacon cream sauce & baby spinach; sauce is creamy, taste light yet not surfeiting; right amount of sauce to coat every piece of gnocchi; with pieces of bacon that are not salty or tough to chew; must try..

Thin crust pizza with garlic parsley chimichurri, capsicum & tomato pesto; simple yet taste surprisingly light; ingredients complement well with 1 another; taste elevated with the addition of burrata; a must-try..

For affordable casual Italian in town, you won’t go wrong with @linoppbar ‘s 3-course set lunch. Choose from a healthy selection of appetisers, mains and desserts, I guarantee you will be stuffed at the end of the meal.

For the final course, I could not resist getting the poached pear. It may be old fashioned, but when done right, is one of my favourite desserts. I'm happy they used quality vanilla bean gelato, and the Myer's dark rum infused sauce was fragrant with warm spice and cinnamon, but the pear was still a little crunchy and would have benefited from a few more minutes of poaching.

Their Spaghetti Aglio Olio won’t garner any points for authenticity, it’s tailored for local tastes, with an overpoweringly garlicky profile and some heat from bird's eye chilli. Fortunately for me, I like garlic. There's a generous portion of prawns and squid, which makes the dish quite hearty.

I never say no to fried chicken, so the Spicy Wings were a no-brainer. Thickly coated in seasoned crunchy batter, deep-fried and piping hot within, these hit the spot for me.
