Soaked in some secret recipe sauce and plenty of chopped garlic, spring onion and chill. This is surely appetizing. I can finish a plate of this to myself.

I love Carbonara but could never make it pass a complete serving myself. All that yolky-egg, creaminess and richness just get too jelak after a while. This "mee kiah tah" version served at OMB is adapted from an Italian chef's recipe, and proved much more manageable for most. It's a lighter-weight Carbonara, but still with the same big flavours - I like it! 👍 The very hospitable owner even offered me his secret stash of chopped chilli padi to top it off! Yay! Spicy lovers think alike!
Uh huh.
Bomb diggity ❤️❤️❤️
If you are the one who can't miss out on hipster cafes, Craftsmen would be the place of your choice to chill especially with its industrial theme. If the orange cups look similar, that's because they are affiliated to Dutch Colony Coffee from Pasarbella. Not really a fan of their rather light-bodied coffee but it definitely has the potential of being an uprising cafe.
True to Teppei style, Hanare offers two value-for-money buffet options: full buffet at $19.90 (one main dish + free flow of 20 side dish options) or bara set at $17.90 (chirashi don + free flow of 4 side dish options). While the full buffet had interestingly respectable dishes like whole garlic cloves cooked in Japanese spice, I much preferred the bara set. Topped with an incredibly generous portion of fresh chunky pieces of sashimi like salmon, tuna, scallop, surf clam, swordfish and roe, the chirashi was incredibly indulgent, save for the overpowering sesame dressing. If you're ordering this, you might probably want to request for the dressing on the side. Be sure to head down early; by 12:30pm, the 42-seater was packed with a dozen PMEBs waiting in line. Definitely worth the money, and best of all, you won't need to make a reservation two months in advance. #foodporn #foodreview #foodie #hanare #japanese #food #chirashi #sashimi
Light chocolate notes. Bubbled a bit too quickly though.
Inspired by a certain dish in US which he tasted then to be "the best thing I've had", this is what executive chef Benjamin declares to be the usurper of that title. I can see why - the strange combination of melt-in-the-mouth foie gras on crisp toasted brioche works surprisingly and superbly well with sweet elements of dark chocolate ganache and mashed bananas, crunchy granola crumbs and smokey bacon jam. I don't know if this is THE best thing I've ever had, but it certainly ranks among the top and for a non-foie gras fan like me, that's saying a lot.
