Have you tried Calbee's Honey Butter Chips π―? If you haven't, I heard this yummy Honey Butter Chicken π ($28.90) is just as good! Boneless fried chicken, Korean rice cakes, potato wedges, dried cranberries, sliced almonds and honey butter dressing. More details on my blog: qiuuing.com.
We came for the hotpot but everyone ended up ordering different stuff π Nice and homey place but the service staff needs to be more attentive.
Tried the new 4fingers outlet at Jurong Point and it was finger licking good!
π DIY rice balls with an option of tuna or anchovy ($8). A good mix of multi grain white rice, Korean black rice, seaweed crumbs and crushed Chilli padi. Don't worry about getting your hands dirty as you are given plastic gloves!
The chicken here is still as good as I remembered! Service is extremely prompt even when the restaurant is so full. Happy π Anyway super glad that the weekend is here and I get a break from work.
Sad to say, the only thing worth raving about had nothing to do with chicken. It was in fact the fries and have-yet-to-be-released mustard sauce that were addictive. β’
The Gold Wings (garlic soy sauce) was way too salty, the Barbeque Boneless didn't have any BBQ taste and the original was dependent on the sauces that accompanied. If they had advertised their BBQ sauce as simply hot sauce and were less heavy on the hand with the salt, the wings would be half good.
We tried both the banana and espresso Flower Paaps and loved both. Wished the flowers were real though. And how pretty is that cloud of cotton candy on top of my iced coffee?
This is a couple of days old cafe with really pretty interior and beautifully styled desserts. But, the wait here is too long. We waited an hour for our items to arrive. I kept wanting to tell them to stop taking orders and concentrate on the pending orders because even as we were waiting for almost an hour, they were still operating the cashier. By the way, it wasn't easy being too pissed off because the proprietor was so sweet and she kept smiling.
Fresh chicken marinated for 6 hours in their special house dressing, deep fried and served with salsa and honey mustard. And you don't have to worry about getting your hands dirty here because they have mini tongs!
First, you have to order before you are allowed to sit down. Second, two of you must order the same main course, which seriously makes no sense. Why limit the variety your customers can eat? Also it's not like they don't have individual hot plates. Also, in the end a portion for two is more costly than I would have preferred to fork out. A pity since the food is palatable.
Both anja are strangely addictive and good with makgeolli (roughly filtered rice wine).
One of my must order items at Korean BBQ. Read more at qiuuing.tumblr.com! Link is on my profile page too.
