Loved By Locals (Singapore)
A classic favourite amongst local Singaporeans, loved by Malays, Indians, Chinese and even the expats. Portion was generous and the fried chicken was awesome. Value for money with the whole set under $5.
Local KL favorite opened its store in Singapore. Didn't disappoint with the tasty noodles, generous portions of minced pork and meatballs and the silky egg. Highly recommended $5 per bowl.
Long queues, solid cook, crispy on the outside, generous portions for a $3 plate. Possibly one of the best fried carrot cakes in Singapore.
Highly recommended by Alvin, who hails this as one of the best Laksa in Singapore. Local delights. $2 classic.
Love the cool way the boss chops, slice and scoops the duck meat. Classy cool craft.
Medium portion $4.50 highly recommended and will come back again.
A 60 year old business, now in the expanse of a dedicated shophouse. The noodles were done al dente and flavor was just right, but I'll never understand why this place of wanton noodles doesn't have a soya sauce base. The small option is priced at $4.50.
I only eat Yong Tau Fu at this place, even though the wait looks crazy.

A tasty local dish ($6.80) in one of Singapore's last surviving coffee houses from the 70s. Prince Coffee House was a favorite student hangout at Coronation Plaza along Bukit Timah back in the days. It's currently shifted to Beach Road with the same Hainanese owners and local feel.
