It's saddening to know that my old neighborhood market will be gone too.

Missing the Nasi Lemak from Alimah's Kitchen, one of my favorite hawker stalls at Tanglin Halt Market. I can see myself coming back often to eat all the hawker food before they are gone.

Haven't LOR MEEed for a long long time. Love the shark meat nuggets and vinegar buffet.

Craving for some Punggol Nasi Lemak but the queue was way too long, hence Wanton noodles for dinner. Be warned, the chili sauce is really very spicy.

Today's lunch situation - Baked chicken in salt with Lam's noodles. Love that abalone and egg though.

The last time I had Tip Top curry puffs was many years ago. I didn't expect the curry puffs now are still as good as before, though they varied their traditional recipe for a distinct texture and taste. Other than the best selling chicken and sardine puff, Tip Top recently introduced the Nonya Beef Rendang puff which contains tender, chunky beef and it is well flavoured with all the lovely spices that hits the spot.

Today's lunch situation: Springy Q wanton noodles from Hao Hao Noodle House at Commonwealth Crescent Market. We love the ultra-chewy texture of the noodles and the culinary performance of the stall owner when he tossed the noodles in the air. Do check out Coocci Contemporary Japanese upgraded hawker space to its restaurant outlet if you're nearby.

I can understand why the wait and queue for this, as the fried prawn noodles was served with generous amount of ingredients such as shrimps, squid and you'll find luck finding lard on the plate. The noodles had a decent "wokhei" and not overly dry. But will I wait again? Maybe if I have the time.

The legendary Hainanese Pork Chop a la mode at Chin Chin Eating House. So good that I can have it simple with just white rice and savoury sauce.
