Sweettreats!

The photo does it no justice. Ah Chew Desserts on the other hand, really does some awesome pow-wow justice to this simple sticky lovely dessert of yum. Light, not overly sweet, and with hints of egg white taste. But honestly I just don't know how to describe this yam paste... Or take photos of it for that matter. I just rely on my love for it. Its on your wedding dinner menu? I'm crashing it!

What an experience this was. I ended up munching this at Mandarin seating area disregarding the sign of no food allowed because this pastry cannot be categorized under JUST 'food'. This is sorcery how does it taste so good?!

Back at favourite to get waffle fix. The queue, oh the queue! I can cry. But no. Anyway, decided on the banana chocolate chip crumble ice-cream. It is a dream come true. Once it hits your tastebuds I'm sure you can hear the singing angels.

Sugalight ice cream after a creamified eggys dinner. Decided on Cookie Monster because the latter title describes my personality when it comes to food pretty well indeed. For an ice cream that uses no sugar, (just stevia and xylitol) it is really quite delicious. Now that I've consumed the monster, I want to consume all the rest too. MOAR.

Passed by this little cafe and couldn't resist getting some cakes! They recommended the hazelnut almond (left) and the apple caramel (right). Mum and brother preferred the hazelnut but the apple caramel tasted like apple crumble so I'm biased. Will definitely go back to try their Varlhona chocolate tart and sticky date pudding! Also, I know, photo does not do it justice. My thighs say no cake but I insisted.

Decided to try out new waffle joint, on a Tuesday no less, and it did not disappoint. Crisp outer and a little moist inside. This is the batter that make hearts sing. Ice cream is salted caramel gelato which is not too sweet, just about right. But of course, staple is maple! And so! The place is a cosy little nook facing the bus stop, so it was perhaps a mistake sitting by the window. I'm sorry (no I'm not) for pulling obscene faces eating my waffle.

The Sanum. Where do we even begin to describe it? Do we start with its base, where swirls of yogurt is snuggled at the bottom? Do we talk about the crunch that you decide to add? The assortment of fruits which makes you go 'um' and 'wait' awkwardly because dilemma! Or maybe it's that assortment of sweet syrups your taste buds have been waiting for. The toppity perfect swirl with the addition of more syrup? Okay. I stop now.

This is quite the winner. Love how moist this cake is, and the cherry twangy taste to it is pretty great. What really hit the spot was the crunchy granola on top. Goes. So. Well. OMG. Cleaned the plate.

Cinnamon sugar churros are amazing. With maple cream? You can fulfil that sweet tooth craving. If you're hesitant, try sharing with a friend :)

Caramelised banana on crepe, drizzled with handmade hazelnut chocolate jam and condensed milk.

The signature taro balls comes in either a cold, hot or warm version so make your choice!! I had the warm version and it tasted excellent. The taro and sweet potato flavor were picked up by the milk drizzle, without, they taste somewhat less enticing. The soup wasn't overly sweetened, very chewy balls, extremely soft grass jelly and brown-sugared pearls occupy the big bowl! Worth every cents and super delicious than anywhere u hv eaten! Very highly recommended!! Not joking.
