Kuala Lumpur Noms
Traditional dim sum place where they make their own dim sum. A container of tea leaves sits at your table and you have to make your own tea.
Some of the unforgettable items include the handmade fish balls and this kaya bao filled w hainaness kaya and coconut flakes.
This charming old shop has supporters that have been going here for the past 30 years.
One of the must eats in KL city. First you get a pot of bubbly goodness and then you mix in the egg. With every bite you get lard goodness. However that is what I rmbed it to be. It seems like standards have dropped since the last time. Pork was too porky and there was not enough lard taste.
The cook is the same, so maybe he had a bad day?
With cheese made from New Zealand cream and Japanese cheese, the cheese foam is definitely smooth and savory. However don’t let it sit for too long or it will harden!

There’s no choice for sugar level and the tea can be a bit too mild on the sweet side.
Some good (but unhealthy) breakfast to end my weekend work trip. And we are heading back to SG! Love the thosai. Love how it's thin and crispy and goes so well with the tomato chutney & curry. As for the roti canai, just tasted like most normal prata.
Embarrassed to say this. But this is the first time in having baskin robins. To chase away the blues of having to work on weekends. I got peppermint bark & raspberry cheese. Maybe I'm more of a froyo person. Didn't enjoy it too much 🙊
A good breakfast since I'm working on a Sunday. Love how much yam there is inside! Yam cakes in singapore tend to be too floury.
Unlike sg ban mian, that's always in a soup and has flat noodles. The one in KL has round thin noodles. With minced pork, fried anchovies and a poached egg. If you like meatballs, get the pork ball and fishball soup. You can taste the difference in using fresh meat for balls! Rmb to add the dry chilli!
The soup wasnt as herbal as expected. But I liked the mix of button mushrooms, enoki mushrooms, tofu skin and pork. ^^ ordered the pork knuckle vinegar as well, but the vinegar wasnt strong enough. Still good enough for a bak kut teh fix
Soft silky Lao Shu Fen with flavourful gravy and pork. Very good . 😋
One is delightful. Soft pandan flavoured flour, gula Melaka filling and coconut flakes on the exterior. However 5 of it is too much..
Light soup with soft tender beef and beef balls and kway teow. What more can you ask for?
