Cheap Cheap Good Good
Definitely my to-go place if I were to be a student at SMU - of course donāt expect restaurant standard when you are only paying on $5 - comes with a drink (ice lemon tea) as well!
Taste wise is actually pretty decent - (better than pastaxxxxx already to me) and a Super big portion!!! Could be spicer given that itās arrabbiata.
Used to avoid siew mai from most coffee shop Bao places due to odd taste they have which gets you all sick after just 1 piece. But the ones have none of those sickly taste! Each piece juicy and sweet (they added carrots) plus made fresh daily in stores no wonder these babies were selling like hotcakes!
Caramel Corn - comforting mix of fresh corn, black pig bacon and chili. Love it how flavourful it is with just a few simple ingredients while the slight heat made it so easy to finish. Such a hearty filling lunch for just $10 NETT (!!) š» Guess I'll be real back soon!
(The more popular pork version of this - $11.90!!) Breaking the egg and turning it over the meat and rice, producing a really therapeutic sound over the really hot Claypot (the whole pot was still steaming even after my meal)! Thin slices of beef together with umami sweet savoury sauce matched with rice and covered with egg! I was still craving for more despite clearing the whole pot!
For generous slab of charcoal barbecued chicken topped smoky curry with rice!Super big portion (but finish-able for a hungry soul) yet Super value for money! š»
(SO MUCH TREASURE!!!) Couldn't help keep smelling the banana fragrant over and over again š the cake part was moist but the crust was slightly burnt kinda bitter but still pretty good especially it's $2 for a whole chunk š
But some Hiap Joo banana cake for me please ššš
- while I lamely got some Dory Penyat š but it was still decent yet only priced at $4!The chili was pretty shiok and carbo-loading for some food coma inducing times šŖ
Happy long weekends ahead!!! š
Especially for $2.20 Dumpling Noodles plus $1.20 Fruit Juices!SHO GOOD!! Happy Monday guys!! ššš
Firstly, check out that overflowing chili with rice and secondly, that fat and meat 50-50 ratio char siew (which is the legendary "don't see sky") which is then slab with lots of savoury gravy. FOOD COMA WARNING ALERT!! For those who are don't know what the äøč§å¤© is.... its actually the arm pits (Yes, ARM PITS) of the pig (which dont see light all day - which was how it gotten its name from)
Firstly, be amazed by their plating with their smear of black squid ink puree at the side of the bowl. I was then blown away by the softness and tender-ness of the pork cheek which Ah Ma Liu šµ and her dentures agrees.
Having their Green Curry with rice set which is so reasonably priced at $4! Having it at the minimum spiciness - The curry was light and thin yet filled with flavour and could blatantly taste all the spices used to make the broth. Generously cooked with tender chicken cubes and Thai Eggplant to seal the deal.
To make it better, we order their famous Fried Garlic Pork to share and I could proudly rub my satisfied yummy at the end of the meal. š
