Hokkaido Truffle Prawn and Scallop Pie - I was impressed by the sizeable wholesome scallop and there were at least 3 firm prawns buried within the pie.

The stir-fried clams - They were slightly briny but very juicy and fresh. After eating the clams here, I don’t think I would order it anywhere else.

To our pleasant surprise, every mouthful of Kok Kee’s soft and springy noodles  with their special homemade sauce still tasted splendid. And the noodles still sent us on a quick trip to food heaven.

La La White Bee Hoon - Xin Long Xin’s white beehoon is immersed in a flavoursome broth that’s made with pork bones and chicken stock. The broth is simmered for 10 hours, so you can expect it to be really rich and robust.

Soya Sauce Chicken - The chicken with a smooth brown skin, was incredibly tender. Drizzled with their house-made soy sauce, the chicken looked deceptively simple, but was a smashing hit with everyone.

Durian Tart - The bittersweet durian crème, which sits in a crisp buttery tart crust, made me grin from ear to ear.

Do not worry about the lobsters swimming in a fiery pit of chilli oil. Instead, the meat is stir-fried with dried chillies and Sichuan peppercorns, giving it a combination of spicy, numbing and fragrant flavours.

The firm chicken is juicy, very tender and smooth. The chicken is topped with a slight drizzle of sesame oil and soy sauce.

The tapioca cakes are steamed, and served with grated coconut. The cakes had an amazing texture and were not very sticky.

Satay - was smoky, tender and not one bit tough nor dry. The satay also had this perfect charred caramelised exterior.
