Must Try
To be honest, we were actually going to visit another restaurant along the same stretch but it was so crowded thus we settled for Da Shi Jia instead.
My fiancé & I prefer more robust flavors (重口味) so we highly recommend the Wok Fried White Bee Hoon ($16.80)! The prawn noodle soup however was rather disappointing & lackluster - bland for us!
Poké bowls have been popular lately, I've tasted a few but my vote still goes to Aloha Poké! Their sushi rice have such great flavour. I've ordered two scoops of spicy salmon and it really does give a spicy kick! Definitely craving it again...
I missed you so big prawn ee mian from Kok Sen! My ex department used to visit this restaurant for our annual Chinese New Year dinner or departmental dinner. Expect a long queue starting after 6.30pm, thus do come early or you may want to try reserving a table.
This plate of noodles is just 9 bucks and can be shared between 2pax of small eaters. A tinge of spiciness amongst the very rich prawn broth and fried shallots! Oh-so-good... Just across the street is Tong Ah whereby you can have their most talked about quite recently - French toasts & traditional toasts too!
Hello there Rosu 🐄, we meet again!
Back at my favourite yakiniku place in Singapore! Brought a Japanese colleague over to try out this place! (However I reckon he might have tried it in Tokyo). Ordered the usual Curry Rice, Tokusei Reimen, Tokusen Tan - Shio (Ox Tongue), Yazawa Salad. Can't really recall which part of the meat did we ordered but it should be rosu & harami.
The food did not disappoint. It was still as yummy as it was! A small 12 tables restaurant, the seats are easily fully booked! Do reserve few days in advance to avoid any dismay. The price may be hefty but they serve the best cut of beef!
Ventured out to the East last Saturday and I have never regretted the long journey from the West. Gosh this bowl of Bak Chor Mee didn't had a queue when we reached approximately 7.45pm. But we were told to wait for our orders as they've quite a list! We finished a plate of carrot cake whilst waiting for abt 40mins. The noodles reminded me of ramen noodles, springy & smooth. The soup is really tasty too! Best 4 bucks spent on 🙃🙂
I love pancakes and this is the best I've tasted so far! They were so fluffy, topped with fresh strawberries, blueberries and raspberry accompanied with berry sorbet, fresh cream and maple syrup.
Hong Kong award-winning and most dynamic specialty coffee concept! This plate of Academic' Breakfast was shared between 2 pax as we ordered pancakes to try too! 😆 You're able to choose how you would want your eggs to be done. Scrambled eggs had buttery taste. Baked beans doesn't felt tt they were out from the can. It was hot and had a tinge of spice/peppery taste to it. Ordered a cuppa Manuka Honey Coffee as well and it was so so smooth! There wasn't residual grounded coffee beans at the bottom of the cup! I need to come back here again.
Located just in the middle of Meat Smith and the famous Ocean Curry Fish Head! A hippy cheerful blue deli! Ordered Patty Melt ($17) without pickles to go, and I was needed to leave down my name. The wait was rather quick despite peak lunch hour!
The sandwich was so meaty and juicy! Alongside with the caramalised onions that gives out a sweet taste. It was harmony! Leaves me craving for more...I guess I shall return back there again tomorrow 😋
After having a taste on Honey Butter Almonds, came across Honey Butter cashew at Shine Korea mart at Bras Basah complex! However, preferring the almonds over this and this is really pricey for such a small pack! $2.20! #honeybuttercashew
This is so much addictive than compared to Honey Butter chips!!!!! #honeybutteralmonds
Chocolate dome with the name - The G Spot, buttery croissant, citron tart and lychee rose cheese tart. Not too sweet and is really light!
Received a morning perk up surprise from the staffs that are working at Two Men Bagel House. A freshly made bagel on the house, as it was International Bagel Day and to encourage us of this simple yet delicious delight. It tasted even better, not because it was free but because of the kind gesture TMBH has offered the public. Little salt bits sprinkled on the top of the freshly made bagel with cream cheese spread. Really perked up my Monday Blues 😊 (To think that the last time I had bagel was actually 4 years back during Olympics Season at London 2012 (McDonalds)!)
