Healthier selection of drinks here! I really enjoyed the lemongrass kombucha which was very refreshing, comes with chia seeds and aloe Vera. Absolutely loved the crunchy chestnut pearls - these over bbt pearls anytime!

Complete your toasts with coffee by Anther, same folks behind The Glasshouse. The mocha I had was quite mild, and my dining partners also had a really good cold brew tea.

Was a little daunted by the amount of milk in both but they turned out pretty good!

No option to select your sugar level for Taro as itโ€™s fixed at 50% but it was thankfully not too sweet. We liked how fragrant it was and had bits of real taro for a little texture. I thought it would have been a little jelak but the buddy proved me wrong and finished it all by herself. Having said that, I do think it might be one of the best around - usually itโ€™s disappointingly artificial, but please let me know if you have a good recommendation!

While Taro is nice, my pick would be the Matcha Azuki. Recommended sugar level of 30% and less ice, but I went ahead for 0% (yes Iโ€™m the kind of person who drinks 0% sugar level bbt with no pearls most of the time ๐Ÿ˜‚). I loved that it was mildly bittersweet, complemented with a little sweetness from the plump Azuki!

(Edit: brought the mother to try and she enjoyed the matcha azuki! For someone who stays away from sweet stuff, 0% was just right for her๐Ÿ˜Š)

Thankfully it wasnโ€™t a long wait - somehow the milk doesnโ€™t taste as fragrant, pearls arenโ€™t as chewy as I like but I liked the fact that they made the pearls on site! Flavour of the brown sugar isnโ€™t as pronounced though sweetness is fine. Not a huge fan, so I probably wouldnโ€™t be queuing for it when it officially opens in my hood ๐Ÿ˜•

Chanced upon Miss Kefir on a hot day, went in for Kombucha and happily came out with this Happy Hops ($7.50, and you get $0.5 off if you return their bottle on the next trip!) ๐Ÿ™‚ Was pleasantly surprised that it really tasted like beer with a nice hint of passionfruit-like flavour, fizzy and slightly sour/ sweet; very refreshing!

Didnโ€™t get the instaworthy ombre drinks but got the Brown Sugar Deerioca Milk instead - warm, chewy qq pearls, light milky fragrance and the brown sugar while aromatic was too sweet for me.

Canโ€™t wait for them to open here, yay to even more choices!๐Ÿ˜‚

Personally really liked this. Doesnโ€™t seem too strong cosโ€™ I slept just fine drinking this at night but ok it was shared. Smooth with a more pronounced tea taste, not overly milky and best of all, not that sweet - this was actually mum-approved (which she rarely does because โ€œyou need to cut down on sweet drinks ahโ€) so brb, gonna stock more of these in the fridge ๐Ÿ™ƒ

Available at fairprice/ 7-11!

Relatively shorter queue so I gave in. And I really liked it! Surprisingly not as sweet as Iโ€™d have expected, it was creamy and extremely fragrant. Couldnโ€™t care less about the boba/ pearls which could be chewier. While I really loved the drink and every sip brought a bit of happiness, I will not be queuing for them anytime soon. Waiting for a few more outlets to open, maybe? ๐Ÿ™ƒ

Got the lemongrass kombucha which was pretty refreshing with a pleasantly subtle vinegary aftertaste.

This is probably the first time Iโ€™ve had kombucha (fermented tea, with a whole lot of health benefits), didnโ€™t mind it at all so I guess this is where Iโ€™ll be trying to make a healthier choice as opposed to my weakness for bubble tea, without the bubble.

Asked for lesser pumps of syrup so it turned out not too sweet, but you still get a balanced fragrance of coconut and rose, with brown sugar jelly

One of the new additions to their local-inspired menu in view of National Day, the Kopi Chendol, which I absolutely loved works as both a dessert/ thirst quencher. The concoction of 2 espresso shots (but felt like it could do with a stronger taste of coffee) with fresh + coconut milk and gula melaka sourced from Melaka, was not cloying, with a generous amount of pandan jelly and homemade coconut sable so thereโ€™s some contrast of textures.

@steepedteabar at the basement of the newly reopened Century Square is my current favourite place for fruit-infused tea!

Theyโ€™re currently having a promotion at 1 for $3/ 2 for $5 for 3 selected teas - Soursop Sencha, Passionfruit Earl Grey & Red Peach Jinxuan.

I loved how refreshing and well-balanced all 3 drinks are - you get a bit of fruitiness without overpowering the fragrance of the tea (ok with the exception of soursop which was pretty strong but I love soursop so allโ€™s good!). I liked that itโ€™s freshly brewed, hand-shaken, plus theyโ€™re not too sweet so.. Iโ€™ve been back thrice within a week๐Ÿ˜›
