Bangkok Makan
my favorite thai dish of all time, I order it wherever I can find it. really wonder which genius thought of it ?!
very busy always good. I usually take the swimmer crab version (not same as salted crab version)
a splendid extra option to accompany your noodles
about halfway down yaowarat on the left side there is a cluster of stalls where the alley meets the main road (kway chap is the mad popular stall here). couple stalls also stretch down the alley. sorry for the imprecise directions....
toppings are the bomb !! Chye poh mixed with bak chor. texture of kueh is more firm than the Singapore version. chilli looks watery but v spicy. yummy!
turn right as your step onto the floating pontoons and you will see a lady grilling scallops. other grilled shellfish also available. scallops are served with fried shallots and garlic chilli.
way better than T&K. just below Chong nonsi BTS.
looks lean but the meat is tender and fragrant. price is awesome too.
