My Dry Ramen Heaven!
What happens when dry ramen and bak chor mee combines together. It was a pretty unique taste for me, the chili intensity was still there except that there was a slight taste of ramen broth with each bite of the noodles. A must try for the adventurous people for the love of bak chor mee and ramen!
Adding to my list of dry ramen was this desirable truffle ramen that I have always walked past when I go to the library. Portion was average, the highlight was its hakata style thin noodles. Normal texture was hard enough for me, the overall taste was refreshing, not that great for a second try but pretty good for someone like me looking for unusual ramen dishes in Singapore. 4/5 !
My second visit to sanpoutei and tried out the Tsukemen instead of their Maze soba! The ramen was delightfully spongy and the soup consisting of dried sardine and dried bonito was incredibly refreshing! Strongly recommend this if you are a Tsukemen fan! (Doesn't have much meat though) seaweed soup was also served to be poured into the rich soup after finishing the noodles!
Another dry ramen spot found! Chili oil was decent and its noodles were unique and springy! Especially loved it as it is cheaper than the other maze soba that I had in tanglin! There were more bamboo shoots, more char siew and most importantly, they serve 1.5 times amount of noodles compared to those soup ramen! Will be back definitely for this ultra value meal! ($13.50 before taxes)
As always, my favorite ramen in Singapore, always eating it with my bestie. $20 + dollars for this awesomeness is totally worth it every once in a while.
Remember to order this with char siew add on, if not it will not taste as good!
