Satisfaction is the only word to describe the eating experience of this bak kut teh. My grandma used to cook dark colored bkt like this thus I'm very accustomed to it since young. There are very few places I know of that sells dark colored soup base bkt but this is the only which matched up to my expectations and reminds me of my grandma's cooking. Soup is sprinkled w lots of ingredients. My fav will be the pig liver, coupled w the soup it really enhances how flavorful and and wonderful it tastes. You do not have to burn a large hole in your pocket to have authentic and yummy bkt. Portion can easily serve a small family.

Oyster omelette is always a good choice of side to go along w your main or to be shared. Plus their oysters are fresh (fat and bloated is a sign of a fresh oyster). Chompchomp is well known for their pocket friendly prices for our local delights. I've enjoyed savoring dishes there since young.

When I was kid, I would always pester my dad to buy me their wanton mee for supper. The springy noodles coupled with their signature fragrant clear gravy is a mouth watering combination that would put wanton noodles straight into your list of favorite food. Their wanton is soft and cooked to perfection, the skin firm but not overly thick (I cringe whenever i see wantons with mushy frayed skins) and wrapped around a very tasty piece of meat. Deliciously flavorful and with a hint of sweetness, their steaming gravy needless to say is the star of the dish. The only complain i have of kok kee's wanton mee is that if you want to eat it, you will have to prepare to queue up with many other hungry fans.

Their black carrot cake is a dish that's more than meets the eye. Looking just like any other carrot cake, a taste of it would reveal its depth of taste. It leaves a thick and sweet taste from the dark sauce used, lingering around your tongue with an beautiful aroma that can be described closest to coffee. Their carrot cake is also fried with prawns that impart more flavors to it and its a treat to find prawns buried in the carrot cake as you dig into it. Definitely a meal that would invoke your love for carrot cakes once again, bringing back memories of perfect Sunday mornings with carrot cakes for breakfast and cartoons for entertainments.

Good tasting pork ribs prawn noodle and also the location is quite accessible. Other than fishball noodle this is what I have when I have my lunch w my mom if we are out. Soup is flavorful and they have always been giving generous amount of pork ribs and prawns all these years. The standard didn't drop too which is what makes me go back for more. Adding sambal chili into the bowl of pork ribs prawn noodle makes it even more yummy.

Gravy is the star in this dish, personally I do not like overly dry hokkien mee. Its the best tasting hokkien fried prawn mee in my opinion and even I myself is surprised it'll be housed at Wisma Atria's foodcourt. My mom would take me here at times after her shopping because I would crave for it. Although the price is a little more expensive but its worth it considering the taste is there.

Fishball noodles is a staple food ever since I am young. Therefore I am very particular about how the fishballs and the overall taste. The fishballs here are handmade. They are smooth, bouncy and fresh. Noodles are not soggy too and they are really generous w their braised mushrooms, another ingredient that plays a big part and to which I enjoy eating. Stall is open 24/7, you can have a bowl of yummy fishball noodles at anytime of the day. Eating here reminds me of morning shopping for groceries at the market and having a simple yet hearty meal together.
