Fatty Char Siew was mind blowing. I'm salivating thinking of how it melts in my mouth instantly. CHAR does not use the traditional charcoal roasting method but instead 4 different cooking processes, delivering the soft and tender fatty char siew. #BestFoodMemory2015


Juicy and tender soya chicken. QQ noodles with no alkaline flavor. Top it up with a bowl of dumpling soup.

A very traditional hainanese eatery. You are normally greeted by stern looking staffs like the ones at Chin Mee Chin Confectionary along Katong. But all I want is a happy tummy, so here I am to satisfy my chicken rice crave. Many find their chicken on the dry side, what I understand from true blue hainanese is that's how it should be. Love the chicken rice here, the smell........mmmmm and it's not too oily. Their pork chop is a "must order!"


This dish is only served during weekends. Beneath the lotus leaf was chestnuts, mushrooms, chicken feet and pork ribs. Pork was soft and tender, infused with the sauce.


Here comes the star. Off goes the lid, and sniff in the hot steamy fragrant rice!
