The rice bowl with chicken chunks and simmered eggs is tasty, though not mindblowing; what steals the limelight for me is that accompanying bowl of slightly cloudy, "essence of chicken" broth. Good stuff.
Chicken Nanban with Tartar Sauce. Succulent chicken chunks in crispy batter, plopped on a Japanese version of tartar sauce - it's like egg mayo with pepper and diced onions. Scrummy!!!
3 types of mini Chirashi presented in a odd shape bowl. It was tad hard to eat with chopsticks, but ended eating well with a spoon.
Wanted to eat at sushi bar to celebrate the end of exams but it was closed (just my luck!) this was good too though at $28, thick slabs of fresh sashimi.
Rosu is the regular cut and is the juicer, tastier, but fattier of the two. Hire is the leaner, healthier, and usually more expensive cut. I always prefer the fatty cut though.
I will definitely go back.
Whenever I visit The Sushi Bar, the sirloin steak is one of the items that I'll order. Priced at almost $30 for 200g, it's probably one of the most expensive items on their menu but trust me, it's worth every single cent. Thin slices of wagyu sirloin blowtorched to perfection, every bite is bliss. I would probably go on eating it forever if I could. Let's just say that I'm already planning my next visit back to The Sushi Bar.
So good that it has become a weekly fixture.
