Jinho Jiak!
@pepperbowl.sg’s Black Pepper Beef Hor Fun ($5.50) laden with lots of zhup 😏
For $5.50, there was generous amount of beef slices, I even wonder were there more beef than hor fun even. Beef was tender with a slight chewiness that went well with a stir of onsen egg ($0.60).
Queue was pretty long during lunch so prepare to queue while hunting for seats at Amoy!
Can’t remember the actual price but it is about $12. 10 HUGE dumpling with thin skin and compact meat that comes with either chicken, beef or mutton fillings. I chose chicken for mine, sauce was really tasty but spicy 🔥🔥🔥
Available for 1-for-1 Noodles on Beyond! Good for spice lovers and totally recommend ordering this with the leek leaves noodles. Noodles was only about $6 after discount! WOW, really value for money. But do arm yourself with a cup of iced water (chargeable at 50c).
I always have to order the 红油抄手($5) if it’s on the menu. The dumplings are smaller than the usual ones I ate. But just slightly more skin to meat ratio and more zhup will be appreciated.
Pork Chop Fried Rice ($5.40) - the highlight of the meal was the pork chop, tender with a nice bite to it.
Definitely one of my favourite hawker centre in Singapore 🥰
One of my first dine-out experience and this is the result! Definitely go for the Fried Intestine and @roastparadise’s Roast Meats are to die for!
If you love dipping fried mantou with chill crab sauce - you will also love their Lava Bun and Chilli Crab Filling (3 for $8).
*This special dish are only available for dine-in for a limited time only.
@sweechoon.sg probably needs no introduction, neither do their famous Fried Mee Sua Kueh.
For SG55, it comes with a fiery sauce of Singapore famous Chilli Crab sauce - 2 for $5. And if you love dipping fried mantou with chill crab sauce - you will also love their Lava Bun and Chilli Crab Filling (3 for $8).
*These two special dishes are only available for dine-in for a limited time only.
My quick dinner of 红油抄手, 10 pieces of handmade dumplings - each juicy and of the right amount of meat and dumpling skin!! The only complaint that I had was that it wasn’t spicy at all 🤣 though they were all still really tasty :)
Their side dishes wasn’t as good as the noodles. The interesting Tonkotsu broth tofu sadly tasted like the usual braised tofu and the Long Jing Tea Egg could have a strong tea taste.
Loved the Taiwanese sausages, the crisp sliced lotus roots and potatoes!
Good addictive mala sauce that is Super numbing. Best if could customise the level of spiciness but there is only one flavour and level of spiciness now.
Feel like the Malaysia Lok Lok where you choose your skewers for the person to cook them for you. But in this place, it is dipped into mala sauce and served cold.
It’s like to-go place for mala on a hot day. This mala is legit, makes my lips Super numb after eating. Addictive though!
