My usual order of Large 加料 ($5.50) with no bee Hoon, yes bitter gourd. These hand made pieces are still as good as I have remembered them! So so so so so so (and it goes on and on) brilliantly awesome! Soft yet bouncy yong tau foo piece with comforting light soup - no wonder this really rank one of the top places for the Engineers!
Always a bit bit sad after devouring the last piece in the bowl and looking for the next time we meet again.

I had the Tom Yum Double Fish ($5.40) - oh my, the soup really packed a strong spice punch! I paired it with Maggie mee and added on a bowl of crispy fried egg ($1). The Fish pieces were the meaty kind with a bite while the noodles with the soup were Super addictive!

Silky wanton skin wrapped with generous dumpling filling swimming in hot broth, order this for a quick meal at this popular wanton mee shop along Geylang. Wishing I could have created 红油抄手 with their wanton mee sauce instead though 🤤

Choose your poison from the 12 flavours, ours was the numbing Mala, wasn’t spicy as expected and it leaves just a slight numb sensation around the mouth. Add on the Golden Combination (crab stick, lotus roots, enoki mushrooms and potato - $9.90) to soak up all the zhuppy goodness.

Chose the Set B ($6.50) of cutlet instead of wings as I didn’t want to deal bones. Super generous portion that’s good for sharing! Chicken only fried when ordered, resulting in crisp, juicy cutlet without the smelly oil taste. Paired perfectly with chicken rice rice and a sunny side up 🤤

Was looking forward to this dish the most after a fantastic belly experience at their former Five-Ten, the marinade was still good but the texture could be softer! Best paired with a bowl of their interesting Shiny Rice (50c) - for a more lardy experience!

A first timer for this, and it definitely got my heart. Like a lesser liver-ish taste with a nice bite - very well cooked and very yummy!

Haven't been here for awhile when it used to be my favourite BKT place for the super herbal-ly broth!

Sadly, the standard dropped a lot over the years - the broth had turned slightly sourish. Portion of the mee sua was really small too.

Braved the queue in the warm weather for a portion of their famous fried fish with soup. Broth was light and refreshing, while I do understand why do people queue up for this. The fish pieces were very fresh and only coated with a thin piece of batter! Do other their 菜饭 which is tasted really homely.

After a trip to Taiwan, always, always leave you craving for a good simple bowl of their braised meat rice (one of their staple food, which is basically just braised meat over rice). However, it can never fight in terms of Flavours and fragrance. At scorch, was sadly still the case (hard to beat la) but love the generous portion for mine and the meat was thankfully really soft to bite (that's definitely a plus for Ah Ma Liu).

Please do yourself a favour and add on 50c for their remarkable Chili!!

Broth was legit - thick, flavourful and filled with lard-y goodness! My order of both prawns and pork ribs ($6) was overly generous (I mean just look at my photo). Pork ribs was #ahmaliuapproved👵🏼 so fall off bone tender!
