When it's way past bedtime but you're hooked on House of Cards. Cravings ensue – one that we've not been able to get out of our minds since we last had it.
These warm, buttery buns are everything we love about chili crab – deep fried mantou, chili crab meat slathered in its thick and rich chili crab sauce. Best of all – no shells.
If we're nitpicking, we'd love for these to be served without sesame seeds. But seriously, these golden, crisp buns are simply divine. Can't wait to head back already!
Hands down the best 流沙包 I've had in Singapore, its lusciously thick and rich salted egg yolk custard held captive by a pillowy soft bun. So good we ordered a second serving.
Perhaps we should make a visit back this weekend.
One of the few Chinese restaurants in Singapore that offers the traditional dim sum dining style—a dim sum cart comes around the table where you'll get to select your choice of dim sum. Drop the white table clothes and raise the chatter, and you'll feel like you're in Hong Kong. Order its signature item; mango prawn coated with baked almond slices. It's not an authentic dim sum item but it's pretty good!
Easily the best polo bun I've ever had in Singapore, this is an absolute must-try. Baked to perfection, the crusty exterior envelopes a warm, soft and mildly sweet bun between a slab of sweet butter that melts in the mouth. It’s so good you won’t want to share. And you shouldn't.
Looks like dim sum again, but who's complaining? Steamed prawn dumpling (a.k.a. har kau) at new Cantonese restaurant Royal Pavilion at Park Regis and more!
My first time having Eggs Benedict "Chinese-style".
Last night's supper. This is what happens after a 3-day juice cleanse that basically feels like you're fasting. I now have a newfound respect for people who fast.
