Legit yumz. Period.

Freshly made, with the thin pastry envelopes either potato or sardine filling. Thin, crisp, and well fried, definitely makes it one of the yummiest Epok Epok, I had to date. The filling, is delightfully generous, with the curry seriously to die for. Heat, spice and all the savoury makes this simple nibble a crowd favourite. Great for teatime, great for anytime, and with a cheap price point makes this epok epok a no brainer.

For those who love drinking, please do yourself a favour and head down to this hole in the wall traditional izakaya. And when I say traditional, I mean the typical drinking izakaya that you always find jotted on the streets of japan. The izakaya, have a drinking policy which you MUST ADHERE, or you are barred from the place. (Do know that it’s really a small joint that house only 10-15pax max).

And with amazing food that goes well with each swing of beers, sake, whisky and soju, you would be coming back for more The owner, a Japanese Chef from Shangri-la hotel decided to come out on his own and introduce what izakaya really mean. His humble little place, screamed homely, with you eventually making friends with like-minded drinking people present at the point of time.

Every dish is very complimentary to every alcohol. The Chef have a wide and good knowledge of sake, and can recommend a good bottle for you to settle in for the night.

A must have, and a personal favourite! XL sweet clams, with a hint of miso that is as delish, as it looks. Every bite, tasted like the sea with a good balance of salty and sweetness of the clam flesh. Well washed the clams do not leave any gritty sandy feel.

If you’re ever in Haji Lane, in search for good food and drinks, you have to be there. Fresh, and sourced daily from local farms, you will be sure that the seafood is of top-notched quality.
Take this plate of sea bass pate, smoked mixed with cream cheese, this buttery pate, is smooth like a baby bottom. Light, but distinct, certainly go well with the toasted baguette, or on it own. The tobiko, adds a nice pop to every bite, perfect for sharing with a nice cocktail to boot.

A must have when you're drinking Sake here. We usually have steamed edamame, served lightly salted. But this bowl of beauty, is lightly stir-fry with garlic and oil. And the end result, is a nice slight charred edamame, bursting with garlicky flavour and saltiness. So addictive and definitely wetting your appetite for more food and drinks.

While it's commendable to have such tasty beer snack, I personally felt that the batch I had, wasn't that crispy as I hope it would be, some pieces are still extremely oily and soggy. Now that is disappointing. The chips are dusted with cheese powder making them extremely tasty, and salty, perfect for a Mug of beer to wash down the saltiness.

Hands-down the most delicious truffle fries that I have ever had in Singapore. Fried so crisp, but yet so fluffy on the inside. The truffle oil, drizzled generously, light and very fragrant. Every fry is coated evenly, and the portion is huge, and deserving. Even through the meal, the fries remained crisp, and that my Friend is seriously a major plus for me.
Even my mom (who is against all things fried) remark that we can always come just for these sexy babies. And for only $7, a basket you seriously score on this one.

This crispy babies are lightly battered, allowing you to have a bite more from the meat (which is juicy. Plus point for splitting the mid wings into two, making nibbling so much easier. And that dipping sauce is seriously sedap. Made from scratch, from four type of Chili, it's have that pow-wow kick while a small tiny hint of sweetness. My kind of Chili, that I swear goes well with anything. Very local, very delicious.

One can never forgo this side, the portion is great for four, even better for two! I have never seen so much Parma ham on a single dish, that my lovely burrata is hidden like playing hide & seek. Seriously for the price, very generous. But of course they could use better higher grade olive oil. But whose to complain.

Monday blues give you all the reason to have the bowl of shiok fries.
Dress lovingly in their infamous, addictive salted egg sauce and the to-die-for Chilli crab sauce (with visible chunks of crab meat). Robust, with bam-in-your-mouth distinct and clear flavour of singapore's Favourite food. This is literally shiokness in a bowl.

Because they are so darn good, so crisp but yet so fluffy. And goes so well with beer, or whatever you felt like having that day. The mere fact that they upsize the basket, at the same good price ($11.50) just made me fall in love with Paulaner and the good old drunk days.

When you are Super high on sake, all you need is a piping hot bowl of oden and its glorious sweet, savoury fish cake soup broth. Like I swear, it's so magical. Helmed and owned by a Japanese, this place knows it's craft and sake. Perfectly done Japanese "Yong tau foo" with its signature chewy fish paste just hit all the right notes when you are suddenly famish (I don't know about you guys, but I always need something mild and soupy when I am high). Atmosphere wise, it's very relax, and Japanese-like with their drinking culture. The staff are extremely friendly and smiling. And well their sake, TOP-NOTCH. Don't ask me how much I spend, but certainly worth the time I was there merry-making.
