Pok Pok ($15)

This Pok Pok dish from @littlebastard @臭小子 resembled a more refined version of popcorn chicken! Crispier and tastier drenched in zesty housemade "pok pok" sauce, topped with deepfried garlic, red and green chilli slices and corriander. Especialy enjoyed having each piece with a copious amount of sauce and some chilli slices to turn up the 🔥heat🌶!

Au Petit Salut is a long-standing establishment nestled in the verdant Dempsey Hill that serves contemporary French cuisine. Other than a reliable date spot, their value-for-money set lunches are a draw: you get to enjoy a three-course menu with coffee or tea from $38. The Baked Burgundy Snails are a real treat to start your meal with – baked escargots bathed in herbed garlic butter, stuffed in a bone marrow. If you like foie gras, they are pretty generous with their portion and sear it till an impeccable crust is achieved, but still melts in your mouth. For the mains, go for the 150 days grain-fed Bavette for some perfectly cooked, flavourful and succulent steak. For a sweet finale, the beautifully balanced Homemade Lemon Tart is bound to please.

3 munchies: Served on a bed of well-cooked squid ink risotto, the tender, house-poached octopus was charred till it had a slight caramelisation on the outside. While the salted egg yolk sauce was rich and had some of the grainy textures, I wasn't so sure how it complemented the briny flavours of the risotto, though.

At first blush the octopus came across as merely charredly competent but, upon closer mouthly bonding, reveals a delightful inner butteriness, whilst elsewhere the slaw was mischievously nam jim-esque in its tarty tease. 4.1/5

What I wouldn't give to be digging into a hot pan of this right now! This bread and butter pudding is the best I've ever had. 🔥

Made with their fruit loaf (sourdough paaaaacked with jammy fruits), it's one of the heavier B&B puddings I've had but it works so well! Giving it a good bite with the smooth pudding, definitely one of my must-orders here.

Good place to flock at with attentive service, good vibes and great food that had us raven about it - especially the Lebanese fried chicken and I personally couldn't stop pecking at the super addictive homemade curly fries!

Not a huge menu but every dish is obviously well thought out and executed. Also, they've thought out the best beer pairing with their signature fried chicken so yep, got you covered if you need a drink with those crispy juicy wings! For those who want to eat clean (admittedly pretty good, tho who'd do that with fried chicken like these?!), they've got a salad bar. Get them all for a balanced diet.

Thank you @birdbirdsg for hosting us and #burpple for extending the invite!

Happened to passby portico after a morning walk from Mount Faber Park to Labrador Nature Reserve.
Whats more is that they are having 1-for-1 in #entertainersg
Ordered Open face chicken burger ($16++) and crab meat angel hair ($18++) for the price of ONE! So worth it! 👍🏻3/5
✔️Nice ambient. Worth visiting for peaceful brunch. Their service is excellent too.

We were lucky to have all 5 types of oysters when we visited Humpback. Don't worry if you are not proficient in the types of oysters because the menu provides very detailed description of the origin and tastes of the oysters.

There were Hama Hama, Blue Pool, Kennedy Creek, Fat Bastard and Kusshi. My personal favourite was Blue Pool which has a deep flavour yet sweet finishing notes. 😋

My first visit here as my other half finally decided to bring me along 🙃and i must say it was a pleasant experience! We started with a lobster bisque with topped with brandy. Nicely concocted with european lobster which we were told makes the bisque sweeter, and indeed it left a delectable sweet aftertaste. Then came the littleneck clams (you can ask for this dry version though in the menu it states steamed), 8 pieces of giant prawns simply grilled with sea salt and served with salted egg dip 😱 and 300g of pan fried barramundi. I ❤️ the tender fish with the crispy skin, and not much seasoning was required as the fish was really fresh! We were pretty much full at this stage but the housemade gula melaka sorbet with sea salt was too intriguing to be missed. Loved it. Sweetness was just right though the texture was a tad too coarse, i enjoyed it as it reminded me of the gula melaka drenched part of icekachang! Am glad i finally made it to Naked Finn 🐟🍤🍧

The smoothest, the creamiest, award would go to this plate of beauty. If they have fried mantou on the side, I would used them to drip and clean up the plate. The smell of the curry leaves and salted egg was so divine, ignited and wetted my appetite, and the colour was so inviting. The meat was so succulent, and clean and fresh. Dip that into the sauce and you will definitely go mmmmmmm ☺️

Located on Dempsey hill, Roadhouse promises Josper-grilled burger patties and meats with fantastic flavour and that perfect char. If you love bacon, go straight for their Bacon Marinated Burger - a delicious combination of melted gorgonzola, streaky bacon, caramelised onions, garlic mayonnaise, sauteed mushrooms, and of course, a 170g Josper-grilled wagyu beef patty. Complete your all-American meal with a side of cheese or truffle fries! The dim light and satisfying food makes for a great spot for date nights and family meals.
