Map's is opened by the same owners of That Latte Place which is currently located along Jalan Cherdas in Kuala Lumpur. The homemade pork balls are absolute perfection. Accompanied by roasted potatoes and salad, these tender rolls of pork are worthy of a satisfying meal. Their wide array of items on the menu include a range of pastas, sandwiches and coffee.

The Hangover Mess - not just for those who have hangovers. Consisting of corned beef cooked with pan-fried potatoes and diced capsicums, this glorious combination is then topped with two sunny side-ups drizzled with herb-infused hollandaise sauce. Served with lightly toasted bread, this is no ordinary brunch. The hollandaise sauce makes the dish look messy, fitting its name to a tee. Available all day, this could be the perfect indulgence for any occasion.

Located opposite the popular shisha spot in SS15 Subang Jaya (Oregi), a favourite of Meltz Cafe would be the basic waffles. Warm waffles topped with creamy butterscotch and devilish dark chocolate sauces, served with a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream - where's the wrong in that? To add some excitement to your dining experience, check out their variety of board games to entertain you and your friends! The ice cream here does not melt as quickly as you'd expect, ironic, huh?

The Grumpy Cyclist is a bicycle-themed cafe in TTDI. From its decor to the magazines on display, this is a favourable stop for cyclists passing through the neighbourhood (they have showers for free!). They serve not only coffee, but also a variety of breakfast and lunch dishes to choose from - pancakes, big breakfast, pastas and more. Go for the Crespella (chocolate chip pancakes), or the Italian Mystery (banana pancakes with peanut butter); you won't regret it!

Convenient for those who live in Kuala Lumpur, the Red Beanbag is an Australian-inspired cafe that serves a decent cuppa to accompany your meals. A notable dish is The Atlantic - poached eggs and smoked salmon topped with hollandaise sauce served on French toast. Prices may be a little steep but rest assured this will satisfy your craving for those scrumptious Australian brunches!

The Curious Goat is the latest addition to the cafe scene in Damansara Perdana, serving coffee made with beans from Toraja in Sulawesi, Indonesia - but coffee isn't all they make. The guys here also whip up a comforting plate of homestyle, tomato-based pasta (vegetarian, beef or chicken) that is perfect for winding down in this cosy cafe. It is a great place to chill out, and the owners are super friendly and chatty! Keep an lookout when you come here, as they do not have proper signage!

Eating at Good Friends is like eating excellent home-cooked food, while dining in a fancy yet cosy environment. Boasting a wide range of food from Western brunch to Asian Fusion meals, choose from their Big Breakfast or their Tauchu Chicken Prawn pasta. Popular for their coffee and cakes, Rekindle is a cosy cafe located in SS2. With old sewing machines for tables, and a beanbag corner to lounge in, this is an ideal place for intimate catch-up sessions with your best friends. Go for the lightly-toasted croissant with ham and cheese with a side salad dressed in balsamic and dashed with pepper. This dish complements any coffee on the menu!

Standing Theory is one of the few daring cafés that serves pork - a rarity in Kuala Lumpur. Don't miss the BBC Waffles - a killer salty-sweet combo of bacon, bananas and Fatbaby ice cream - the most talked about waffles in the area! Finish with an expert flat white, or a potent cold brew on the rocks. This is an unconventional, indulgent, perfectly sinful meal you must have, especially when you're having a bad day ;)

Missing the Melbournian baked eggs and smoked salmon bagels? Located in a sea of car workshops just opposite Sunway University, this branch of CoffeeSociete from Solaris Dutamas is an ideal spot for those looking to satisfy their Melbourne food cravings. Be sure to check out whatever they have as a brunch special - they can whip up interesting dishes like Turkish baked eggs with salami! The glass windows allow natural sunlight to bathe the cafe, the perfect reminder of Melbourne sunshine.
