Recently I discovered this hidden gem in the west side. The place was located just a short walk from the Jurong East MRT station. There’s indoor air con and outdoor al fresco dining area. We ended at the al fresco dining area, which was surprisingly cooling. The restaurant cum bar offered a good range of signature cocktails, fine wines and fresh draft beers to accompany gourmet western cuisine.

Parmesan Truffle Fries (S$13.80++)
Served with homemade truffle mayonnaise
The dish smell so delicious when served that the next table immediately ordered one too.

Gouda Cheese Stick (S$14.90++)
This was eaten while still pipping hot ‘cos the cheese will be stretchy.

Hawaiian Pizza (S$19++)
Honey baked ham and pineapple

Smoky Bacon Carbonara Fettuccine (S$20.20++)
Sautéed bacon, onion and garlic in cream sauce

Raspberry & Lychee Mojito (S$15++)
Rum, raspberry, mint, lychee, mojito mint sugar & soda

YC Sweet Poison (S$18++)
Rum, Malibu rum, blue curacao, pineapple and orange

Overall the place was ideal for date nights and and group gatherings, as it offered a chic and cozy atmosphere. Plus the service here was exceptional good. Although the place was packed, service was swift.

The well known fish soup stall from Taman Jurong Market & Food Centre which was awarded a Michelin Bib Gourmand last year, has recently opened another outlet in a Kim San Leng coffeeshop located in Jurong East. Just walking distance from the MRT station. Do you know that the stall was named after the grandfather and was started by the grandmother. Bet most people would like me thinking why a stall named after a road in Singapore.

There’s 4 items on the menu : Fish Head Soup 魚頭湯 (S$6), Mixed Fish Soup 雙魚湯 (S$6), Fried Fish Soup 炸魚湯 (S$6), and Sliced Fish Soup 魚片湯 (S$6).

Sliced Fish Soup 魚片湯 (S$6)
Thick slices of Batang fish in clear sweet tasty broth, with soft tofu, tomato wedge, chinese cabbage, and fried egg floss.

Fried Fish Soup 炸魚湯 (S$6)
Thick chunks of fried dory fish (with no batter on) in milky broth (‘cos we requested to add milk), with soft tofu, tomato wedge, chinese cabbage, and fried egg floss. Addon Fish Roe 魚蛋 (S$2) which was crunchy in texture with no fishy taste.

Don’t forget to dip the sliced fish the fiery hot chill sauce for extra shiok feeling! Accompanying the meal with a bowl of plain rice 白飯 (S$0.50).

Missing oat flavour
Actually got order all 6 flavours and was told by the cashier to collect 10 minutes later
But when I returned 10 minutes I was told it was sold out and did not reserved for my order. If I wish to wait it would at least another 15 minutes.
In end I had additional original buns.
The original coffee bun tasted the best.
The butter bun was the plainest with no topping
The salted egg bun was most oily.
Can’t taste the chocolate or Pandan in the other 2.
