Just located opposite 49 seats, we found ourselves a cozy little pastry shop with clean French interior. I do not like matcha that have an overpowering taste but this matcha choux was made just nice. The lemon strawberry rosette when sliced, appeared a neat harmony of fresh lemon curd with jellied strawberry coulis, sweet & sour at the same time, which is pretty refreshing.
Pastry-lovers in the CBD, you'd be glad to know that Pantler - a bakery offering all sorts of baked goods and sweet treats, has just opened its doors on Telok Ayer Street. Their sleek interior just draws more attention to their mouth-watering pastry showcase. From cakes and tarts, to croissants and pastries, there's something for everyone. They also have a very unique offering of Pâte de Fruits (essentially fruit jellies) that are made in-house. Their Ricotta Cheese Tart comes highly recommended, as with their Choux Creme pastry which comes filled with delicious vanilla cream!
Two thumbs up for these fluffy waffles crisped brown on the surfaces, as well as for the ice creams – the hazelnut, sweet and Kinder Bueno-ish, was a great combination with the slightly sour strawberry cheesecake, smooth and rich with bits of buttery crumble.
