The Hokkien Mee is one of the best I ever had, full of 'zup'. So feel like da-taoing home for it to absorb the sauce.
Guess where?! Clue: It serves Black Angus Ribeye Steak!
I really enjoy eating it, it's fun and great for bonding. Wanna have one more before end of the New Year leh.
For overseas friends, this is what we eat in Singapore for lunar new year. We toss several ingredients together, and proclaim with words of blessings on one another.
Huat ah! Means prosperity!
But once a year lah!
Which is your fav Bak Kwa brand & WHY?
My mum liked the Bak Kwa Reunion best as there were her fav coin shaped bakkwa and parmesan on French bread.
You can easily guess which was my favourite.... The soft Orange Cream Cheese brioche filled with tangy smooth cream cheese fillings, which was also the most photogenic lah.
The other 2 are Golden Pumpkin and Happy Goat.
Which would you like best for CNY? #BreadSociety
Here’s the Bakkwa Reunion with bak kwa topped with onion slices and Parmesan cheese.
I also took a look behind-the-scenes to see their Golden Pumpkin bun being freshly prepared and baked. 新年快乐!
1st dish of the reunion dinner done! A simple fishball soup. (em, yeah, I am doing SOME of the cooking.) What are you having tonight? #CookForFamily
Oh yah, whatever it is, mum is ALWAYS correct tonight. Remember.
But time seems to fly by too fast. What's your reunion dinner like?
So much leftovers, and I don't like to waste food. So, I chopped up the fishballs, took the meat off the chicken, prepared some stock and fried bee hoon, topped with Bak Kwa.
Here's my take on Bak Kwa Bee Hoon. Not exactly RED but can right? Simple fare. Continue to enjoy feasting everyone!
Must I nominate anyone? How does this work? Lol #CookForFamily
Once you start, you just can't stop eating them.
Diet WILL start tomorrow. Okay, make it the day after.
Here's a sneak at what CNY snacks we have at home, and the number of pax that comes visiting. Many many! Gong Xi Fa Cai everyone!
A Japanese style "Vibrancy of Life" Yusheng from Oceans of Seafood at PasarBella @ The Grandstand.
Eaten many yusheng before, but this is probably my first with Rock lobster, Salmon sashimi, Amberjack sashimi etc with some ingredients imported from Tokyo's famous Tsukiji market! Very fresh.
Plus it comes with gold leaf and a bottle of Sake. $128++ for Dine-in or Take-away.
Great esp if u love thick slices of sashimi. おいしい!
@danielfooddiary will be giving away $88 vouchers for you to enjoy them.
