I can get my pie cravings fixed or have something different during lunch now.
The question mark pie, because they labeled this as a question mark when I visited because it's their brand new pie. Was convinced it was cheese because of the familiar brown bake mark and texture. πŸ™Š Cheese filling was a little disappointing for being quite dry. But delicious crust as usual. Quite like a usual cheesecake with more crust rather than just a layer.
Best for sharing! Eating alone will be quite a task! I still love it though. It was a nice sweet pie. Nice twist 😍 Food: 8/10 Price: 6/10 (RM 10.50 - the portions at APT is quite standard. Price is rather reasonable but not cheap! Especially their savoury ones and the combos)
PS. Not pictured. Took away a cheesy chicken pie with gravy too! I think I ruined it with the brown sauce because the chicken pie would've been better on its own. But also because I had it 2 hours after purchase (where they did claim I could still have maximum satisfaction in 2 hours) RM 13.90 for only brown sauce combo.

Definitely one of the best dessert shops that I've been too. Thank god for opening at Bangsar as its so near to me and I can always come here if I need a pick me up.

Love the cheesecake!! Apart from komugi's amazing half baked cheesecake, Jaslyn's cheesecake is a winner! It's so fluffy and not too sweet. Really good cheesy taste too. I assure you it's not overwhelming.
Lemon tart, a cleanse from all the sweetness. Nice curd and crust. I like how it wasn't too sour, like the overrated one in Tommy Le Baker (No offence intended, just my personal taste preference)
Butterscotch blondie! Takes a lot of hard work to eat small bites from it because it's just so fudgy and dense. It's just amazing! Not too sweet, another favourite! (Also tastemaker @emilychoong_ 's favourite)
Peanut butter chocolate cake. Oh my goodness. Another great cake. I remember trying one from another cafe and I couldn't taste any peanut butter on its icing at all. The chocolate cake was also too strong there. Here on the other hand, has GREAT peanut butter icing, chocolate sponge cake was light and was pure indulgence. Another favourite.

I'm starting to feel like everything will be my favourite in the bakery.... Hahah anyways, must try Bakeshop in Bangsar. Put it on your to-go lists today and GO!
Lastly, I love the teacups. So pretty. Evidently from Royal Albert Hall. Check at the bottom of the teacup! 😱 Earl Grey tea matches well with all the desserts that we had. How British we felt that day! 😊 *pinky up!* Food: 8/10 Price: 8/10 (Earl Grey Tea RM 10 for a pot; Cheesecake RM 14.50; lemon tart RM 13.90 - don't really agree with this price for such a small tart; blondie RM 9.90; Peanut butter chocolate cake RM 13.90 - other prices are fine, indulge once in a while, but not everyday. Because one, it's not healthy, two, they are quite pricey)

I've always wanted to visit Pulp but never got the chance to. It's hard to find because the signboard is so small that you can easily miss it. But once you know where it is it's actually very easy to find (don't get confused by this messy statement lol)
Their best seller is the carrot cake. We managed to grab the last piece and you bet we enjoyed it to the last crumb. My first time try a carrot cake too! And I love it. The cake was not too sweet and the frosting was delicious as well. Not sure what frosting but I assume it's cream cheese.
Another best seller is their bakes cheese cake. I was contemplating on the chocolate truffle moist cake or this. I went for a lighter one because I was having two cakes and testing two lattes. Cheesecake is delicious! Almost as close to my favourite half-baked cheesecake from Komugi. It was so fluffy and the cake shape is quite cute! Haha
Since it was me and my cafe-hop buddy of the day first time at PULP, the barista was kind enough to recommend us coffee. So we went for Pulp's signature, the ristretto latte and throwback latte on his recommendations.
I prefer ristretto. The coffee has a sweet caramelised taste to it. Not fruity nor acidic. The beans were roasted well. Milk and coffee blended perfectly. I had no complains.
Throwback latte was good as well. Although slightly more acidic but it had one of my favourite coffee notes DARK CHOCOLATE! I dislike fruity and acidic coffees. So these two were perfect.
Their famous cold brew is not bad too! Definitely much better than the tester I had from Standing Theory in Publika Coffee Expo. I could taste more sweetness here. Another reason could also be the ice that diluted it a bit. But Pulp is more generous with coffee in this bottle rather than a gimmicky test tube!
I'll definitely come back Pulp!
Food & coffee: 9/10 Price: 8/10 (cakes: RM 12; Cold Brew RM 10; lattes RM 10)

Light, fluffy, creamy and hits every part of your sweet cravings! It's not too cheesy or filling as well. I usually give up halfway through a slice of normal cheesecake but this was light enough!
If you're having a heavy meal with your friends but you still have a second stomach for a light dessert, I suggest go for this cake!
I love cheesecakes and the lemon tang just adds perfection to this slice. It's not a very huge slice but it's very worth the price. Cheesecakes are not meant to be so big anyway! Home backed cakes are so delish!
My first visit to After Black was amazing. So was my subsequent ones. Love this place a lot! Sadly I always miss the day when After Black offers this cake. 😭 Food: 8/10 Price: 9/10 (RM 9.90)

I should be on a quest to search for the best heart healthy cheesecakes!
Besides their famous Roasted and Fried chicken, Kitchen Table has quite good bakes at the counter too! Their cheesecake first attracted me because of the cute basil leaf toppings and also the texture. It's dense but light looking. Get me? Lol
Creamy, not too sweet, great texture. It is also half baked! Love the crust because it's so crumbly. They definitely can improve on the density of the cake. As what usual sense cheesecakes would do, you would get sick half way through the cake. Especially if you're having other food and desserts with it.
I still recommend it though because they have one of the best New York Cheesecakes that I've ever had. I prefer this than Garage 51's NY cheesecake. 😊 Food: 8/10 Price: 7/10 (RM 12.90 - the price is very high for a slice of cake. I have no complaints because I would pay for this for a good cake and weekend treat!)

Waiting for their Set Lunch RM 10 nett now! 😊 Desserts before mains. Because that's how we roll! This is one amazing piece of blueberry cheesecake. So creamy, delicious base, blueberry glaze (?) tastes amazing. It's a really good combination! Their plain New York cheesecake is also good but I prefer this one. I recommend their brownies too!
I'll post a full review on their brownies soon 😊 Food: 8/10 Price: 8/10 (RM 9.90)

This is a long delayed post but I must post this to add to my cheesecake ventures.
Not my favourite one. It might be the best seller but it's very thick and dense. I love cheesecakes that are not too heavy but this one is the opposite. You wouldn't want to eat it anymore when you're about 2/3 or halfway through. Some people loves this though! Depends on your taste.
Of course, it's amazing on your first bite. But the crust is seriously hard and thick. Not crumbly. 😞 Share it with a friend maybe? I do prefer Garage's cheesecakes that has toppings like the one I reviewed previously, the blueberry cheesecake.
Cake: 5/10 Price: 8/10 (RM 9.90 - really not a bad price though! Share it with a friend if you want some cheesy fix but not being overwhelmed by them!)
