This is the closest you can get to the real deal in Japan. Ditch that 7hrs flight you have been planning. For all you know, your favorite Y̶a̶m̶e̶t̶e̶ Oishi land might just be a stone throw's away from you. Enough said. Itadakimasu!!

I became a fan of the tendon ever since I first went to Japan. So i got overly zealous when i heard raving reviews about this place. Had to queue for about 30 mins during a weekend dinner hour. Do come earlier if you want to avoid the queue. There's a set meal available that comes with udon. But in my opinion, the tendon itself is enough to bloat your happy belly. The tempura is as impressive as it looks. Contains assorted veg, prawns and chicken fillet. Batter is crispy and not nua on the inside. The rice glisten like the mother of pearl rice. Not clumpy and the special tendon sweet sauce goes really well with it. The only ingredient missing here is the fried onsen egg which i deeply missed back in Japan. Personally i will root for this over Ginza Tendon.

Mikuni is one of the few authentic jap restaurants that I acknowledge in sg. 2 pcs of fatty tuna sushi (otoro) will set you back by about $45. But if u have the the Farcard, it's 50% off total bill if 2 people dine in. The standard of the otoro is as close as you can get from the freshest catch at Tsujiki market! The sashimi is really marbled the way otoro should be! 日式料理怎能少得了Mikuni 這家的肥金槍魚壽司太讚了! 生魚片最講究的就是新鮮. 由於新加坡天氣溫度的關係, 很難保持生魚片的新鮮度. 這家辦到了 讚! 👍🏼

Thick chunks of seasonal sashimi fill the entire bowl so much that I can hardly see the rice! Freshness was a little compromised though..well can't expect too much from imported fishes. Overall I think pretty value for money. The only problem with coming here is parking. It's always a warzone experience dammit!

Heard raving reviews about this place and was looking forward to it cox I've had a really awesome bowl of tendon back in Tokyo. But gotta say I was kinda disappointed. The pricing is attractive though. There's only 2 choices of tendon on the menu. The special one which is mixed tempura bowl containing shrimps, chicken long beans, baby corn, onsen egg and pumpkin. The other one was a vege tempura bowl. Batter wasn't really well made. The inside of my tempura was slightly soggy. The sweet sauce drizzled around it didn't taste too bad though. Whatever it is don't bring your date here unless you happen to be in the area. The queue and the standards here aren't enough to impressive her. At least mine wasn't 😅

Clam soup, Salmon sashimi, fried tofu and prawn fried rice; Does not serve very traditional Japanese fare. Has abit of Chinese twist to the cooking but still very tasty!
