Green like a hulk green
already a decade of bringing germany closer to our shore, you probably know @brotzeitsg for its pork knuckle and beer. but this smashing 15 ingredients super salad may just be a game changer. hearty mix of avocado slices, blueberries, raspberries, mandarin oranges (ridiculously pulpy btw!), feta cheese and mixed nuts in lighest dressing guarantees you every individual flavor coming together in a mouthful. eat your greens now and you have my permission to partake the knuckle.

meaters gonna hate. but this is really the best meal for a crazy weather - zucchini pasta. a tower of fridge-cold shredded raw zucchini with comforting nutty home made pesto to taste and burst of cherry tomatoes to excite. texture and strands were every bit pastaish! some may find it bland or not inspiring, but i for one love dishes that are light but well-balanced and all components coming together!
been eating much from this stall for my lei cha fix recently. full vegetarian mode, so yeah to no dried shrimps. was hoping for winged beans but no matter, is still good a sweet lei cha variant. addition of red beans in the mix help to feel full, so go easy on the rice serving. served by a forever-karaoke chap who has no qualms belting out highway to hell in front of his customers. ha
don't be rude, i know. haha. but i very much enjoyed this spiced lentil patty on my made bowl of very cheena combi: greens bed, wild mushrooms, wafu tomatoes, bean sprouts salad, garlic and shallots. for a wholesome meal of your own creative combis, grain traders is about right but be prepared to blow $20 per pax with a drink.
because lunch can be salad only and still be full like hell with a hearty bowl of jin shabu shabu buta at @jinzakaya. comes with generous amount of wafer thin sliced pork slathered in homemade sesame dressing to please the meat eater in you. think someone must had their maths wrong because how can this big bowl be just $12.80!

menu says moroccan spiced quinoa, baby spinach, walnuts, french fourme d'ambert cheese, grapes, pomegranate and balsamic vinaigrette. nope, they gave me a bouquet instead.
that said, the baby spinach was a lil heavy handed on the saltiness and especially when it ran out of grapes and pomegranates to pair
when you cny feast too much, you lei cha. little oil or if not no oil at all with sweet notes in the rice mix throughout. and the tea behind, they meant business when they say detox.
if you are here, always and always must order their sous-vide octopus salad, is to die for seriously. i think anything prepared sous-vide deserve attention and spathe aced it. the greens and chunks of smokily flavorful octopus were such a joy to bite, contrasting in such perfect harmony with the orange sweetness and vinaigrette tanginess. fear not if you come in a group cause mammoth servings are available.
because dinner is gonna be a meat game at wang dae bak, so is like the calm before the storm? lol. upon visual, greendot's feel-good kitchen was dotted with greens and all the vegan goodness. my greens was a sharp crisp fresh. adding to the bite is a throw of sunflower seeds with cherry tomatoes, raisins, walnuts and cranberries in wasabi soya. to complete the healthy dish are really convincing konnyaku prawns. some salads had me chewing tirelessly but greendot was a nicely balanced. a strawberry and banana shake ($5.90) by the side made sure i last till dinner. greendot really mean vegan business.
duck in my salad really quacks my appetite. pairing of orange wedges and smoked duck slices hardly goes wrong. enjoyable nevertheless. the ever popular brined chicken on the other hand, was slightly too salty compare to the last time i had them.
hulk approved pesto risotto from wheeler's yard. but why so little love for awesome plate of vegetarian grub? granted the arborio rice is al dente but bordering tough that day, it lends a lovely texture amidst the molten basil pesto sauce. and so so many button mushrooms! freaking quite divine to me actually!
sashimi salad - simple medley of greens with ebiko but the delightful wafu dressing seals the deal. am a fan!
