A delicious twist on the kaya toast. Loved the heady coconutty notes and crispy thin toast. Pity the taste of matcha was rather weak. Other flavours include earl grey creme, cinnamon sugar and black sesame.

The sea salt mint iced latte was a refreshing pick-me-up in this sweltering weather, but again, the milk-to-coffee ratio wasn't in its favour. For non-coffee drinkers, chocolate and mocha options are also available with other interesting flavours such as black sesame, Irish cream, caramel rum, pumpkin spice, etc..

Having expanded to a bigger space just around the corner, this light-filled, child-friendly noshery along Guillemard Road is always bustling with activity, especially on weekends. They don't take reservations, so come early with a group of friends to snag a seat at the coveted communal table. The weekend menu is straightforward. There are five items to choose from, of which you must get the egg-cellent Oven Baked Molten Eggs on Tortilla and Melted Cheese ($12.90) that comes with avocado slices and refreshing cherry tomatoes. You can even add Smoked Salmon for just $3! The two ready-to-burst eggs promise a river of liquid gold, so keep your cameras close by to catch all the runny action. If you're dropping by at non-meal times, opt for their super tasty Curried Chicken Wrap ($10.90) or their Earl Grey Croissant ($4.20). Pair these bites with a Flat White ($4.50), and just enjoy your time here.

Avg price: $20 per person

The generous portion of the happily-sized and uber-fresh seafood cubes will leave you in a state of suspended sashimi bliss and the pearly rice-to-seafood ratio was magical. Elsewhere, the marinate was a glorious cross between Teppei Syokudo's legendary (albeit occasionally eagerly salty) one and sweet teriyaki sauce. Priced at only $12.80, this astonishing marvel is destined for greatness. 4.5/5

What is better than straight cut fries? I think the answer is well… curly fries!

Served on a wooden board, the LoKal’s Lobster Rolls comes with crispy and well-seasoned curly fries on the side that I haven’t had for ages, but the highlight is of course the sweet chunks of shellfish. At $22, the lightly toasted bun holds slabs of slipper lobster tails, gherkin, crunchy coleslaw and tangy lemon mayonnaise which make for a great ‘me-time’ lunch in the lovely ambience of the cafe.

Fried chicken (not dry on the inside thankfully) drenched with gritty salted egg yolk sauce on waffles is a sinful but indulgent combination for breakfast. Not a good idea if you're intending to head to office with a food coma in tow. Nevertheless, salted egg yolk sauce is done well (like the kind you'd find in zi char stalls) but waffles needs to be further improved 🙁 Paired it with an Apple Cinnamon Coffee ($6) that comes with a cinnamon stick for you to stir your drink. How fun!

This Assam Crab Waffle is the creation of inspirations from the Kedah Laksa, a dish which is very similar to what we are more familiar with, the Assam Laksa. A specialty blend of 8 spices are used and the waffles are topped with crab meat and pineapple cucumber salsa. On the side you'll find the assam gula melaka mayo. This dish didn't sound too appetizing to me at the start but I was pleasantly surprised how everything went so well together! The mayo especially was a burst of sweet, sour and savory flavors. It was so tangy and addictive, I found myself scraping all the sauce off the plate with the waffle! This is one dish I'll come back for.

The Pasta I Ordered is Spaghetti Carbonara with Homemade Guanciale. The pasta i say unique is there i found a Soft boiled egg inside. Topped with bacon & crispy fried dried shrimp it is good & the price is reasonable & the portion is big. cost u only $8++. Fyi All these menu available on Weekdays lunch hrs frm 1200 to 1430hrs.

Love this space. Why can't all condo and apartment have a cafe like this and I can get my coffee craving fixed every single day with a nice place to chill.

Hidden behind an unassuming door along Telok Ayer Street, Free The Robot shares the same space as Bitters & Love, operating in the day while the latter takes over in the evening. This rustic little space is lovely for a calming, simple lunch of Beef Meatballs with Jasmine Rice ($11), featuring chunky handmade meatballs and soft, fluffy rice. For a light breakfast bite, have the Sous Vide Egg with Jamon Ham, Truffle and a slice of Brioche ($5), the savoury cured meat and heady whiff of truffle adding a lovely twist to the local favourite of half-boiled eggs. Coffee is brewed from blends supplied by Toby's Estate, perfect for your mid-day coffee run. If you're up for something interesting, try the Free The Robot Signature ($6) — cold-pressed coconut oil, milk and espresso using Woolloomooloo beans!

From the folks behind Carvers & Co, Wolf Burgers is situated within the just-launched PasarBella at Suntec City, which sees a food court-like concept where diners order from different “stalls." Following the popularity of their beef burgers at Carvers & Co, Wolf's menu also includes pork and chicken varieties, alongside three types of waffles. Go for the Pork Gochujang burger ($9.90) — a pork patty char-grilled to-order, topped with Korean-inspired grilled cucumber and kimchi. For something classic and satisfying, the Alpha Burger ($14.90) will do the trick with two thick, chunky beef patties coated in a double-layer of melted American Cheese and caramelised onions. Add a side of crispy, well-seasoned Sweet Potato Fries ($5) to complete the meal. This seems like a good spot for after-work dinner, especially for groups who can't decide where to eat!

some go crispy below, some wants to own them, while others find happiness.

no, I'm not talking about those terms literally. snsd, ninja and salted egg yolk are now part of @theholqa revamped menu of chicken wings.

With an additional $2 for a side salad, miso soup and green tea, it is really affordable. If you want something special, the foie gras truffle yakiniku don costs only $19.
