We were totally shocked when we were presented with this huge bowl of goodness! This bowl of jumbo tom yum soup is full of noodles and topped with a huge lobster, crabsticks, fishcakes, abalone slices, mussels, stuffed squids, fish slices and eggs. This can easily feed 4 to 5 pax! We were pretty impressed with the taste and the noodles were remarkable, sponging up all the insanely flavorful tom yum soup. I loved the intense flavors of sour in the soup that make it appetizing and craving for more!

Thank you @plussixty6 for having us today!

The flavor of the matcha is complemented by the double French caramel that was used to stack the spot-on textured profiteroles. The base of the profiteroles are filled with vanilla mascarpone cream. Technically very accomplished, it was a dessert well done!

This bowl of jumbo tom yum soup is full of goodness such as a huge lobster, crabsticks, fishcakes, abalone slices, mussels, stuffed squids, fish slices and onsen eggs. We were pretty impressed with the taste, especially with the tender succulent lobster meats, soft texture of the stuffed squids and the nicely done onsen eggs. The huge portion of noodles were remarkable too, sponging up all the insanely flavorful tom yum soup. I loved the intense flavors of sour in the soup that make the dish appetizing and craving for more! Make your reservations and grab a bowl now!

The skin of the duck leg was well done, though not as crispy as I wish. The flesh is very fork-tender and it falls off the bone easily yet maintains a regal textural presence. The sauce of Bigarade (bitter orange) & Grand mariner sauce was a distillation of all the essence of good-old natural ingredients made from scratch. One of the best duck confit, I would say. Another winner indeed!

It consists of the all time favorites from Portico's staffs, chefs and diners.

1) Starter of chilled truffle-scented angel hair, Crostini of Asian-cured salmon gravlax, a skewer of tiger prawn

2) A 4 tier rack of petit sweet and savoury bites

3) Freshly baked California natural raisins and citrus peel scones, served together with homemade honey kaya sauce, homemade seasonal preserves and clotted cream

4) A choice of free flow of Twinings Tea or Dutch Colony coffee.

Already lost count on the number of times I visited The Betterfield but his risotto is a must order whenever I'm there. Salted egg risotto is another new flavour that was introduced to me lately. Yes you read it right! It is salted egg! The risotto was cooked perfectly al dente as usual, with each grain offering a little resistance to your teeth. The salted egg flavor was not as strong as expected but there's still a balance in taste which you won't have problem finishing it by yourself.

The unexpected and unusual pairing of the heavy-palate ingredients, particularly the egg, winter foie gras, grilled fresh prawns and caviar, works well together and delivers a flavor that is complex yet fresh and gratifying. The tangy emulsion sauce binds the entire dish together. Mad About Sucre does it best again with the art of flavors balancing. A very well thought and well conceptualized dish, a salad fit for the King indeed.

This dish is essentially what a good dish is all about - Supposedly simple ingredient prepared with the simplest cooking method. Simplicity is by no means simple as it requires a high level of culinary technique, more restraint and more sensitivity to the ingredient. This melted Brie serve with berry compote is all about ingredients and cooking techniques at its best. Enough said, period.

It consists of

Savoury:

1)Eclair of Singapore-style chilli crab meat

2)Fish "Otak Otak" Toast

3)Squid and salted egg croquette

Sweet:

1) Marsala Chai tea cake, honey ginger cream, orange confit

2) Homemade carrot cake, maple cream cheese frosting, toasted walnuts

3) Mini deconstructed blackforest
4) Chilled cheesecake, mango gel, mini passionfruit spheres

5) Baked apple crumble tart, sweet basil cream

6) Bandung rose cream, strawberry and lychee tart

7) Pistachio nut, cranberry and white chocolate bark

8) Homemade peanut butter and confetti cookies.

Like harvesting their herbs and spices from their small shopfront garden to use for their dishes, Portico harvest the past feedback from their customers, staff and chefs on their top favorite food and present these wonderful 'blast from the past' taster snacks. These creations are absolutely delish and well done. I like their creations as every element of the dishes are well made and carefully thought out. My love goes to the 3 savories and the deconstructed Black Forest cake as the flavors are well balanced enabling each ingredients to shine through.

It will be available today onwards from 3pm to 5pm daily (Closed on Mon) at SGD 48+ per pax. There is only 30 sets available each day, so reservation is strongly advised. Follow @porticosg on instagram now to enjoy a promotional launch price at SGD 38+ per pax from 15th March til 14th April.

This popular snack started off from the ancient city of Thailand, Ayuthaya, called the Roti Sai Mai. It has been a delicacy for over 2 decades and continue to be highly raved snack there. It is finally here in Singapore now!

With an improvised recipe, the sweetness of these strands of unicorns' hair is reduced and is best to roll with their homemade crepes and eat. It instantly melts in your mouth and highly addictive! A set of Fairyfloss which consists 10 crepes (strawberry / pandan flavours) and colourful flosses will be at SGD $12.90. You can share with your loved ones and friends, just in time for the festive season / to celebrate the new year. Trust me, is addictive!

You can check out @fairyflossofficial for more information and contact them at 91803914 or [email protected] to order. Thank you @fairyflossofficial so much once again for sending these all the way to my work place! 🙆🙆🙆

Rich intense flavours in its own with plenty of delicious fat marbling though it! It has an amazing balance of its distinctive rich flavour and tenderness compared to other beef. Just a dash of White Maldon Seasalt and Black Falk Seasalt work wonders!
