What started as a home-based establishment during Circuit Breaker, became a full-fledged restaurant at three locations - Serangoon Garden, East Coast and The Star Vista.

Juicy slabs of steak such as USDA Prime Ribeye ($98 for 600g) that’s a perfect marbling or tucking into the non-beef dishes like the Miso Salmon ($29) accompanied with your choice of side. Tuck into the dishes while having their speciality cocktails, we had a lovely birthday celebration at Dan's Steak.

Select your prime cut meat to be semi-cooked over 5 types of firewood – Jarrah, Hickory, Oak, Cherry, Applewood – which adds another dimension to the plate.

House signature Crab Tagliolini ($30) is a dish worth trying, though the pasta was molto al dente that day. Cooked in lobster broth for immense sweetness, generous crab meat chunks, it is topped with olive oil, rose petals and smoked ikura.

Topped with fresh ikura smoked over your choice of woodfire right before serving. Watermelon is marinated for 24 hours with mint and coriander seed served with red snapper fish floss made in-house. The floss itself is a treat – made of snapper fish first steamed then shredded and deep-fried. It is highly addictive especially after being topped with fried shallots and smoked ikura.

Nestled within @clarkequaysg, @cicada.sg serves Modern Asian food with one-of-a-kind concoctions such as Boba Cocktail 🍸

Making an entrance is the Smoked Dumplings with Foie Gras ($20). Arrived in a shroud of applewood, the pan-seared foie gras with peanut sauce is wrapped in egg crepe.

Between Char-grilled Pork Belly ($24) and Grilled Miso Cod Capellini ($30), the latter was definitely on point. Well-executed codfish paired with miso butter sauce, the Ebiko atop the capellini was a nice touch.

Serving American and South-East street food, the newly revamped @mischief_sg is a great place to chill with friends after work. With alfresco dining, crafted beers and wine selection, they also have electronic beer pong tables and electronic dart machines.

Was most impressed by the towering stack of Fried Chicken Burger! Served with two juicy fried chicken, the dish is blasted with pickles, jalapeños, raw slaw, fries and sriracha mayo.

The former offer treats like Nyonya Curry, Otar Kueh Pie Tee and an assortment of Nyonya Kuehs, served in traditional Peranakan Tingkat.

But it was the latter that stolen my heart! Lineup includes Roasted Beef and Apple Remoulade on Ciabatta, Smoked Salmon and Asparagus Quiche, Truffle Egg Mayo Rolls and a decadent variety of petite sweets (matcha sesame cone and chilled earl grey chocolate were my favourites)

The afternoon tea set (comes with two beverages of your choice) is available on Monday to Friday from 2:30pm to 5:30pm. Prices from $42++ per person or $80++ for two, it is inclusive of beverage. A western bistro is hidden in the heartland. The small bistro offers western dishes such as burgers, pasta, ice cream and waffles, has been around since 2015!

Salted Egg Chicken Burger ($16.90) is one of the several salted egg dishes they offer. Thick buttermilk fried chicken coated in savoury salted egg sauce, served with a bed of fries, it’s one of those comfy dishes to have.

@CourtyardSingapore semi-buffet allows you to indulge in their extensive spread of soup, salad, bread and dessert with a choice of one main.

Mains are changed on weekly basis as Chef introduce both Western and Local-inspired items such as Coq Au Vin, Assam Laksa Lemak and in frame, Char Siew Barbecue Ribs with Salted Egg Fries. The semi-buffet is available during
- Lunch on Monday to Friday (12pm to 2:30pm) at $22++ per person
- Dinner on Sunday to Thursday (6pm to 10pm) at $30++ per person

So if you have not made any plans for this coming weekend, why not pop by @southunionpark and try their breakfast menu! I did and pretty early too.

Taking pride in what they serve, most of the ingredients are painstakingly made from scratch! Plus it's hardly your common breakfast menu. Like SUPer Breakfast ($15) consisting of sausage patty, scrambled eggs, housemuffins, butter lettuce salad and hand made in-house tater tots. While the patties might not be perfectly shaped, it's juicy and tenderness had us craving for more. And those tater tots are just WOW! Understand from Chef, they had R&D for a while to perfect these crispy potato gems.

Note: their breakfast menu is only available on weekend from 9am to 12pm, last ordering at 11.45am.

Here we have Semi-dried Tomato Consomme ($18) served in tea cups. The consommé has smoked salmon, tofu, wolf berries within and enlivened by lemongrass flavour.

Feasting on Sticky Bones spare ribs and down it with a pint of craft beer!

No further introduction needed for their signature Hickory BBQ Sticky Bones but did you know they have launched a new flavour this week? Kansas Sweet is a rich, dark, intense BBQ sauce with brooding layers of flavour. This sweet savoury sauce accentuate the huge slab of juicy ribs as it forms a flame-kissed caramelised layer.

Sticky bones ribs are something you must order when @morganfieldssingapore. But did you know they have other items such as Tequila Spiked Chicken. Plump half chicken marinated in tequila, lime and paprika for that zesty kick before being chargrilled.
