Other than the signature Lu Rou Fan, @eat3bowls Pasir Panjang outlet offer outlet exclusive dishes like Salted Crispy Chicken. Lightly battered and coated in chilli powder, the bite-sized chunks of chicken were tender and juicy. Grab a iced cold Milk Tea, and it seem to bring us back to the lively Taiwanese night markets!

Long wait time for this popular clay pot after Chinatown Complex, but shiok to have on a “wintery” night.

Pots and pots of clay pot prepared over a charcoal fire, it’s a sight to behold. Filled with chunks of juicy chicken, pork belly, lap cheong (Chinese sausage) and salted fish, drizzle dark soya sauce over before mix it well.

I like to leave my rice a bit longer so it gets more charred and crisp. How do you like yours?

There’s just something comforting about this Taiwanese dish even though it is simply made of braised pork belly over rice.

So we decided to grab a bowl, a new Taiwanese cafe along East Coast Road. The small bowl of Japanese pearl rice was heaped with tender braised meat, egg and picked vegetables. But it is on the pricey end and slightly lacking in flavour

Presented in a dome perfumed with applewood smoke, it was pretty impressive when the staff unveils the dish. The lightly battered black cod filets are coated in a sweet sauce and each bite was filled with that smokey fragrance.

Craving for salted egg chicken? For those in the east, there’s Jia Yuen Eating House which is specialised in salted egg dishes.

One of their signature will be the Creamy Salted Egg Yolk Rice. Bite-sized chicken toasted in savory-sweet salted egg yolk mixed with evaporated milk, it’s rich and decadent. But if the chicken were less starchy, it will be even better.

@DinTaiFungSG is known for whipping out plates and plates of delicious fragrant fried rice using premium pearl rice. In fact, wherever I’m there, I will order Xiao Long Bao and a plate of their Fried Rice with Pork Chop! Anyone the same?

New rendition of fried rice is masterfully prepared using a special blend of XO sauce with scallops and dried shrimps concocted by chefs at Din Tai Fung. To give it a smoky and umami flavour, they also grilled the dried flat fish and toss it with their signature pearl rice. So yummy that we quickly gobbled it down.
