The Bingsu Frenzy
Stepping into this place is like stepping into an mysterious place with the amount of flowers and plants around here. All bingsus here comes with a scoop of ice cream of your choice. This Bibim ($18) looks like the real deal - bibimbap, with toppings such as blueberries, strawberries, kiwis, pineapples, grapes, nuts and a "sunny side up" being used to cover the fine and soft shaved ice, with a scoop of Pistachio Almond and a saucer of condensed milk served alongside. Mix them all together and this "bibimbap" becomes a fruity and healthy combination that tasted sweet but lacked of a firm milky taste.
Bingsus here used to be for a person's portion. After feedback from customers for the past few days of opening, they have since increased the portion slightly, while offering it at the same price! This Berry Snow Bingsoo ($8+) is milky on every mouthful and the variety of berries is a lot, being sweet as well. However, the shaved ice melts quite easily despite retaining its flavour.
Within an shipping container designed exhibition space dedicated to showcase local artworks, is a see-through shipping container that houses a new Korean bingsu place that sells bingsus, toasts, sides and drinks! This Strawberry Bingsoo ($14.50) comes with plenty of sliced strawberries that tasted more sour than sweet, with the shaved ice being quite refined yet tasting milky at the same time!
