When I was a kid, my dad had just gotten a new job and had to work OT often. On days that he could get off early, my family would gather at Ming Kee Chicken Rice for dinner. I‘ll always remember how my parents would remove every single bone from the chicken parts before putting them on our plates, while my sister and I would never fail to fight over our favourite part — the skin. This remains my go-to comfort food as it never fails to remind me of family and home. #hawkerpedia

Pretty upset that they were sold out of charsiew so my double roast noodles became siewyuk noodles 😭 I didn't really like the siewyuk but the braised pork belly (black bowl) was good! Try it if you love your pork, and prefer springy and chewy noodles. This and the hefty price tag of $12.50 didn't work out for me sadly 😢

This scotch egg is so good!! Imagine a perfect soft half-boiled egg wrapped with a layer of crunchy bread crumbs and tender minced meat - this was a delight till the very last bite 👍🏼 yum!

I guess we came on a bad day because this didn't really work for me - noodles were too soggy and dry, though I must say the wanton and chilli sauce was good. #eatoutsg #8dayseat #burpple

The wait for this is long but like they say good things come to those who wait! Thoroughly enjoyed this. Though the pork could be slightly more tender but wow, boy I was impressed with the crispy roasted garlic flakes that added a lovely crunch to the soft bits of pork fats. Don't think I need to say anything more of that glorious sunny side up egg sitting on top.

Easily one of the best braised duck I've had. Loved the consistency of the duck meat, and it was tender enough - though they could be less stingy with the meat. The smooth brown gravy was very rich and flavourful and the super shiok chilli just hit the spot and took this meal to another level!
