Monday blue is approaching and I am craving for the Slipper Lobster Linguine ($26) infused in tomato shellfish sauce and basil. The delectable linguine was tossed with 2 pcs of slipper lobster and small chucks of plump and juicy lobster meat, bathed in a zesty sauce!
We started off wth Osteria Art Tris, made up of Crab Salad, Scallops Carpaccio and Tuna Tartare. The crab salad was sprinkled with salmon roe, and the chunky fresh crabmeat was sweetly contrasted with the savory roes bursting in your mouth with every bite.
The thinly sliced scallops carpaccio were doused with generous amount of caviar, a complex pairing yet adding on a subtle aroma.
Tuna Tartare was fresh, but had a weird bitter aftertaste.
Do consider their festive menu till 30 December 2015 at only $98+ because their service level was way beyond fantastic. At such a price (where most places will โhammerโ you during this season) for festive menu and their exquisite ambience, I am more than willing to visit them again!

Prior to the meal, we were asked if we were sharing the main courses. Yes we did, and we were surprised that they served us with a piping hot plate and even cut the portion into halves (after I took my own sweet time taking pictures of the mains)!
The perfectly pan-fried seabass was accompanied with crispy skin, and the firm and silky fish flake was tantalizing when imbued with their homemade zesty rich tomato sauce!
Special shout out to Hai, for the great attentiveness!

Since it was done in Sous Vide style, the meat will be served in medium cooked. Love how the thick and coarse ground black pepper elevated the texture of the meat, though the red wine sauce was insignificant.
Enjoyed this meal with one of my dear friend, whom we already know for 13 years! Sometimes, it is really not about the number of times that you have met with each other; because the genuine friendship stays and you care about each other's life.
Sea Urchin Risotto ($35) - classic risotto with cheese, a whole load of sea urchin goodness such as sashimi and paste from Japan, essence from France together with scallops + roe!
The umami-heavy finish to the rich and creamy risotto was consistency concentrated with sea urchin flavour, and it was soul-satisfying.
Somewhat briny yet sweet at the same time, the sea urchin had a rather firm texture and it complements well with the Al dente Italian Arborio.
The plump and juicy scallops even came with roe, and all the ingredients were combined together in a vibrant chorus.
Do note that this item will be part of a new menu, so you may want to call @thebetterfield to ask if it is available!
๐ So to relate my work in the social service sector, let me share with you about toTTful cafรฉ - a good example of social enterprise that seeks to help teenagers, particularly youths-at-risk, adults and their families to aid their financial needs by offering them a job.
Eventually, the aim is to provide them a platform to reintegrate into the society, regain back their confidence and help them to attain future entrepreneurship in F&B industry.
Featuring my favourite dish - Bacon & Mushroom De Pink ($8.90) in signature pink sauce. While it looks like the girl-next-door amongst the pasta, the ambrosial sauce was creamy yet not overly intense, and the bacon and mushrooms stimulated the overall texture and flavour!
A sauce that was indeed unique, it got us hooked onto it that we couldnโt resist ordering another plate of the goodness.
Thank you @tottfulcafe and @khjpyc1405 for being a great host!

Sigh, no hint of truffle. It turned out to be rather tasteless, and the insignificant amount of tobiko did not provide the crunch.

my favourite dish at creatureS!
the risotto was well-executed with luscious creamy texture. every grain was plump and absorbed the seafood stock, and it achieved the right balance between softness and al dente.
I was devastated when I saw the hard boiled egg yolk right in the middle of the pizza, rather than my expectation of an ooooozing egg yolk.
well putting that aside (and yes literally I threw the egg yolk to a side), the crust wasn't crispy and it was so salty that it hurts my tongue. I only had a piece because it was unbearable.
anyway we provided the feedback and they went back to investigate. the ham was the root cause of the problem. so they waived the price of the pizza. oh well, hope to see improvements! โ๏ธโโ match my mood today - got into a minor accident this morning when a taxi bang my taxi from behind. my first time ๐
pretty hard to find good pasta at such an affordable price nowadays, furthermore without GST and service charge!
the palatable aglio olio wasn't dry at all, and it was well-seasoned with olive oil, pepper garlic and chilli! texture was just nice and the prawns were so fresh and firm, with a char-after taste. totally affordable at the price for 5 prawns!
texture was succulent with a slight crunch and you can feel every grain separately, non-lumpy as well. lobster was a tad too salty but reasonable priced, especially with entertainer app!
