Ordered this through food delivery so that might be the reason for the slightly mushy soba noodles and popcorn, but it was pretty decent for its price. Garlic butter was generous and apart from the onsen egg, there were 8 crunchy prawns!

I know this looks like a nightmare if you’re not a fan of your greens, but it was very tasty and didn’t at all taste like it looked! The bowl’s made up of a lovely medley of avocado, haricot beans, mushrooms, baby spinach and crispy kale, topped with a poached egg. There’s a good variety of textures and flavours, and I especially liked the touch of spice - remember to toss it thoroughly for a more even spread. This is also available as a vegan dish, just inform the friendly servers upon ordering.

Thank you @jonesthegrocersingapore for having us and @burpple for the kind invite! ✨

Sandwiched between homemade brioche, there’s avocado, creamy scrambled eggs, roasted tomatoes, homemade pesto and a generous shaving of grana padano cheese. It looks simple, but I loved how well the different elements came together so harmoniously. Jones’ homemade pesto especially, was fragrant and had a delicious punch. This breakfast dish is only served till 12pm daily.

Maccheroni pasta baked with bacon chunks and cheese! The creamy sauce was quite light and actually wasn’t as cheesy as we expected it to be, except for the slightly crusty cheese top. Was hoping for a stronger truffle flavour, but it was pretty decent as a whole, especially with the thick chunky bacon pieces. It gets a little heavy after a while though, so share the calories! 😛 Oriole’s available on Burpple Beyond - be sure to check with the servers for the items applicable for 1 for 1 upon ordering.

Slightly disappointed that our pasta was a little under seasoned and dry, but they were indeed generous with the crabmeat chunks and capellini was done al dente. You get to choose your spice level for it, either the regular or hot. Oriole’s available on Burpple Beyond, so we scored this and the Bacon Truffle Mac & Cheese ($25) at 1 for 1!

Wanted the Cubano ($16) but it was unfortunately sold out. Went with the Crispy Fried Chicken - buttermilk fried chicken, shredded lettuce, garlic aioli and chipotle honey dressing sandwiched between soft toasted brioche buns. Chicken was juicy, succulent with just the right amount of fats and a crispy exterior. The patty itself was also very well seasoned and the sauces (especially the garlic aioli) complemented nicely with their added tangy-ness and sweet-savouriness! Loved it but $16 was a hefty price tag for its portion.

This dish came highly, highly recommended by a friend and it didn’t disappoint at all! Though the chicken cutlet came in a huge piece, it was fried extremely well with super crispy skin and juicy, tender meat. It wasn’t just the corners that were crispy, it was consistently this way across the whole piece (at least for this one I’ve got)! I really enjoyed that slightly sticky coating of salty-sweet soy garlic sauce too.

The accompanying garlic rice was fragrant and not oily, but the best part for me was the good bite of each grain - rice wasn’t at all clumpy or sticky. A great portion for its price!

This was the must get dish in our minds prior the visit and glad we did. We were served crispy thick cut fries, crushed peas and a good sized piece of fish. Fish was very tender (albeit a little too soft for me) and fried crisp without being oily. I don’t usually request for ketchup, but make sure to get one here - they use Wilkin & Sons’ which was not artificially sweet with a lovely touch of acidity. Not the best but feels like a fail-proof dish to go for here.

New western stall that has a whole menu of options. The lingering heat from this aglio olio was quite nice (you can customize your preferred level of spice) and it wasn’t too oily. The stall owner was very friendly, but it took a while to get my plate - might not be something to go for if you’re looking for a quick lunch.

Ciabatta with a bunch of sinful ingredients - double fried egg, crispy bacon, tater tots, cheddar cheese and PBD’s sauce. It was very shiok although my friend found this a little heavy for breakfast. Loved the varying crunch, textures and the harmonious pairing of all the ingredients. & pst, get the super worth 1 for 1 with Burpple Beyond!

Came down armed with Burpple Beyond’s 1 for 1! A trusty classic pairing of scrambled eggs and smoked salmon, elevated with dill cream cheese and red onions sandwiched between fluffy brioche buns. Not mind blowing, but it was such a satisfying breakfast option. Liked that the smoked salmon wasn’t too salty and the balance brought by the unassuming tangy red onions was the plus point!

Not a typical spot you’d go for hotdogs, but they serve up pretty good ones here along with drinks! Everything’s up for your customisation, from the hotdogs to toppings like sauces and crispy onions. Liked our combination (thank you Mu!) which had a little bit of everything - hot dog with cheese, crunchy onions, sweet-smoky secret sauce with a mild heat from the mustard.

Ps. The bottle of Elderflower ($5) drink was really good, go for that if alcohol isn’t your thing!
