We also ordered some Double Scoop ice creams ($8.00 nett) - Luxe Chocolate, Sweet Potato, Lavender White Chocolate, Rum Butterscotch & Salted Pecans. The premium ice cream flavours were more up my alley, with delicious & unique flavours.

My favourite by far was the Rum Butterscotch & Salted Pecans! Aside from the fact that it has alcohol in it, the butterscotch was good & creamy without being too sweet.. & the pecans gave it good texture & a very complementary, welcomed saltiness.

The Lavender White Chocolate came as a close second - also not saccharine sweet, & I loved the floral fragrance of the lavender.

The ice cream here doesn't melt quickly, which is awesome. The regular flavours we had with the waffles: Bandung + Sesame (pictured with Signature Whoaffle Set, $12.90 nett); Blue Peppermint Chocolate Chip + Cookies & Creme.

I thought the Bandung was pretty special, but the rest were just average.

Now that that's out of the way, on to the actual review of the food. The waffles in the Signature Whoaffle Set ($12.90 nett) were bigger than expected (my expectations stemming from the photos I saw).

They were crispy & tasty, overall above average & we were all very pleased with it. However, as a friend pointed out... They are oddly hole-y.

There are Terms & Conditions to dining here, so listen up -

(1) Prices for Signature Whoaffle Set & Double Scoop are for the regular flavours of ice cream - should you want to opt for the premium flavours, you'll have to top up 50¢.

(2) There is a minimum order of 1 per person. Not a dollar value but 1 order of something per person. So for our party of 5, when we wanted to redeem 1 Burpple Beyond deal, we were told we had to order 3 drinks to fulfill this requirements. What this means: Your savings might not be as much as you think they'd be (all a matter of managing expectations).

If you reserve on Chope, there is a minimum order of $10 per pax - this is clearly stated in the reservation process though, so you can't miss it.

$1.80 for Medium Taro Milk Tea - valid til 24 Jan 2019. Doesn't include pearls but at this price what a steal. Some more got this cool net carrier which I am going to reuse to carry my drinks cos #auntielife!!! & also they accept FavePay which gives you rebates so you're hooked to keep coming back for more. #dontsaybojio

The Waffle with Soft Serve ($15 nett) was very meh - it wasn't crispy, & crispy is how I like my waffles. I can think of better waffle & ice cream place just a short walk away.

I prefer their hot mochi donut which has a chewy texture that is pretty appealing; together with the right soft serve, THAT makes a great dessert.

Thankfully we got this with the Cookie Butter soft serve, which is my favourite of the 2 flavours they had that day ☺

This is their Blackforest ($7 nett) soft serve. Regardless of flavour, I felt that the method of serving this soft serve could be improved on - by precariously perching the toppings on the side of the soft serve, half of them fell on the table despite careful efforts to avoid such a calamity. Which was such a shame because the toppings go so well with the soft serve.

Gave feedback to the team & they were open to it. They also told me that there are alternating layers of toppings & soft serve inside the cup, which I must've missed because this was a dessert shared amongst 4 very greedy people. Duly noted!

I preferred BrotherBird's Cookie Butter ($7 nett, pictured) soft serve flavour over the Blackforest ($7 nett) one. They are very different - the former sweet & creamy, the latter tangy like a good berry. Since I don't have a sweet tooth, I normally like tangy flavours much better - however, I felt the Blackforest was a bit too sour for my liking.

Unfortunately quite a lacklustre Aburi Wagyu Beef Don ($20++), with nothing much to shout about. There wasn't much char to the thin beef slices, & overall it was just lacking in flavour. The onsen egg was great but, rightfully, the beef should be the star of this dish, & that failed to live up to expectations.

Thankfully I got this half-priced with Burpple Beyond, & perhaps I might give them another chance with their other Dons that you can use the 1-for-1 deal on. But hey, at least I enjoyed the sake that I ordered (not 1-for-1!) to finish off my meal.

Fun fact: This didn't fill either of us up much, so we went for Dinner Round 2 down the road at Holland Village to use another Burpple Beyond deal. 😂

Ordered via GrabFood - Taro Milk Tea ($3.80) with Original Pearls ($0.50), upsized ($1.00) with no ice. The most disappointing bubble tea I've had in a long time. Very watered down, quantity of pearls very little, & definitely not My First Choice.

My friends who ordered different combinations e.g. Green Milk Tea, Nata de Coco, no ice etc... All found their drinks disappointing.

Would never order again! Thankfully our damage was minimized by using FREEFOOD promo code for first time GrabFood orders ($18 off, no minimum order).

Happened to sit down in front of this muffin stall & thought about buying muffins the whole time I was eating. With the excuse of celebrating my dad's birthday, I decided to buy some.

Everyone who tucked in (this in essence was his birthday cake, so we all shared lol) loved these very much. They aren't exactly expensive either, being quite sizeable & high quality. Fairly moist without being mushy, & the tops are a little bit crusty, which I love.

The Pancake Tower ($20++) is definitely meant for sharing. The batter is slightly salty, & the 3 pancakes thick & dense. Served with a side of berry sorbet, light whipped cream, & honey. I didn't find this amazing, but it kept me full for a while & went great with the Flat White ($5.50++) that I ordered.
